Along with the Lingard rumours, this looks like it will happen...

Official, report, and rumor around Rapids players:

Official - Auston Trusty now on season long loan to Birmingham City. Turns out they tweaked the formula for a work permit this year and Trusty got the 1 extra point he needed to qualify thanks to the change.

Report - Feyenoord wants to send the on-loan Cole Bassett on loan to Fortuna Sittard. Unclear if this would be a 3-way negotiation between Sittard, Feyenoord, and Colorado or if Feyenoord would exercise their purchase clause in Bassett's loan.

Rumor - CS Emelec of Ecuador have contacted the Rapids about Ecuadorian CB Gustav Vallecilla.

DC United have been busy today.

First, they acquired Miguel Berry from Columbus for $225k GAM + incentives.

Then, they finalized the signing of Ravel Morrison on a free from Derby County. TAM level deal runs through 2023, with a club option for 2024.

Crew are happy to get anything for Berry. He played well in limited minutes late last year but that was mostly against depleted teams. This year he's been pretty poor and had fallen to 4th on the depth chart for a team that usually only plays 1 forward.

Twitter buzz is that the Loons are about to sign 23 year old forward Mender Garcia from Colombian side Once Caldas.

Goodness knows they need a better off the bench option than Abu Danladi and his perpetually pulled hamstring at the very least.

South American twitter guy (no clue how reputable he is) is saying it is NYCFC and....Nashville. Good lord I hope it is Nashville because that would be funny for world media to have to acknowledge Nashville during a World Cup instead of LA or NY. However, man I really want to see LAFC land him just for their CCL games (which they better qualify for). I'd laugh seeing Bale, Suarez, and Cheillini lining up for games and getting CONCACAF'd.

I'll guarantee he isn't going to be signed by NYCFC. CFG doesn't mind spending on teenage prospects from South America. A 35 year old Suarez? Not so much.

What if he was willing to come on Bale money though? Year and a half TAM deal. Think they'd go for it then? I honestly don't think he'd go because of the field size if his big push is to be in game shape for the World Cup.

DC United appear very close to finalizing the signing of Victor Pálsson, an Icelandic d-mid who helped Schalke win promotion back to the Bundesliga last season on a 2.5 year TAM deal. He's heading back to Germany to await his visa.

DC are also chasing Luton Town forward Elijah Adebayo as a DP, offering $5M as a transfer fee so far, but Steve Goff reports that won't be enough to get Adebayo.

I would be curious if Seattle could be in the running. Lodeiro and Suarez are very good friends, to the point they were roommates whenever both were called up to Uruguay's national team, and Lodeiro, reportedly, has been talking to him about coming to Seattle so they could play together.

I would imagine the playing surface would be an issue for Suarez and Seattle also doesn't particularly like throwing money at "aging" stars, but given the scoring problems Seattle has had with Ruidiaz out injured and faltering fan engagement, he could be a good addition?

Well, that didn't last long. Sounders reportedly made a token offer that was ultimately rejected by Suarez's camp. I'm not sure why the Sounders would even make an offer if they weren't going to be serious about it, but it may have been a situation where Suarez gave a list of teams he'd be willing to play for and the Sounders were on that list. So why not toss something out and see if he'll accept?

Seems like his career is in a much better place than a decade ago.

DC make the Pálsson signing official, inking him to a contract that will make him a designated player, at least for the rest of this season.

There is a name I haven't heard since the YA board imploded because he chose Mexico over the US.

So Kempin out and as soon as a new Ochoa deal is done then Hamid gets moved somewhere I would guess.
