Jasper having perhaps his first rotten game. Perhaps not that bad but he has certainly had more missteps than usual.
Julio causing some nice confusion and a great ball from Aaron. Just couldn’t make that difficult finish.
The way this is going LAFC should take the win but it’s open enough that anything could happen. RSL can definitely not afford any mistakes that give up dangerous possession
I'm worried he just can't play at the level of LAFC. So much of his game is just working harder than everyone else.
That was a fun half! LAFC’s attack into the box lost steam after the 35th. I’m hoping the altitude has an impact on them. Chiellini did a lot of running. No way he lasts 90 imo. I earlier predicted he might get subbed at halftime. We’ll see. He had a good half. Neither Julio nor Sergio could do anything when he was marking them. Unless Sergio’s goal was against him. I couldn’t see. I’m expecting Bale around the 65th.
That’s what a top team should look like. LA’s got 10 players in our half applying pressure to win balls back, their center back (s) are often past the midfield circle. LA have been able to defend with few and are making really lovely runs around the box to open our D. Boo to their flopping. They should be better than that. RSL have hurt themselves with misplays under pressure but we’ve also put together a half dozen nice chances ourselves. Keep hope alive?
Their forwards and mids were simply pulling our defense apart. While their 2 goals came off of RSL mistakes, the fact is they probably should have scored twice more through more skillful play.
Ruiz probably hits that if he is actually back 5 yards. And now LAFC punishes us for not finishing. 3-1.
A good indicator of where these two clubs are in the big picture. LAFC up 3-1 brings in Bale. We bring in Rubin.
It's ridiculous. Plus who was the forward they just signed? Hard to believe they can be this stacked after only being in the league a few years.
Chicho - who has two goals tonight and is one of the better players in the league this season - is about to be excess to requirements with the new signing. He'll be fourth on the depth chart.
