RSL after a lackluster home performance that saw them pretty much out coached and out played, or at least out bunkered at home, travel to face the Loons on Sunday. Minnesota is on a 3 game MLS losing streak with only one win in their last 6 matches and sitting way down the table in 12th. So which RSL team shows up for this match? The plucky one that has every one more than a bit confused or the one that CBus totally figured out? With 6 games in July against teams way below them in the table with only FCD above the playoff line this needs to be a big month for them to show if they are real or just early season posers. So why not? 3-1 RSL
We've historically had a bad habit of playing down to the competition. That was on display in the Columbus game, which was about as uninspired an outing as I can remember. There's no logical reason we should lose or tie this one, so I'm saying RSL 0 - 1 Loons. Because...logic.
Only really good teams are favored on the road in this league. RSL is not a really good team. I’m thinking a draw is on the table here
With LAFC losing and with Austin moving ahead in the standings, would be nice to see them get a road win. Would be happy with a tie, but need to make up some lost points after the Crew debacle.
Probably an unpopular take because he did not look good against the crew but I'd like to see Menendez start over Meram. Bring Meram and Julio on at 60' and let Meram dribble past tired legs and Julio run at the defense.
Oh and Reynoso just casually dribbled from the end line back to the middle of the box and scored That was bad meram not gonna love film
Brody helped cover on the initial cross Meram jogged back and did a solid bull fighter ole as reynoso dribbled past him
Two changes for Pablo tonight. Kappelhof in for Glad and Caldwell in for Jasper. I got a late start and don't know the reason for either.
This feels a lot like the Nashville game on the road and the Columbus game last week, so far The only way rsl is able to get out is to hit it long
Jasper is on the bench, Justen us not. Also watching Diego Luna with the USNT U20 team, for which he started. Game kicked off at the same time as ours on FS1.
Jasper is on the bench so not sure glad didn’t travel so guessing injury (don’t have volume on my side because I don’t like to listen to the dunny and dj shtick)
That’s one of the weirdest cards I’ve seen Rubio is off Whistle goes Boxall cleans Rubio out good job by the ref
There are long stretches where I forget savarino is on this team with how little the ball gets to him
Oh, so did you miss Dunseth mention that Pablo said that RSL needs to be more direct during the pre-game?
