Good first half. Hopefully some of those near misses don't come back to haunt us. If we can keep this pressure up in the next half then we should be able to win this.
Well, the pressure's been effective, and any time you get 10+ dangerous passes going into the box (corners, free kicks, passes) good things will happen. It'd be nice to have finished 1-2 more, especially as dangerous as SJ has been on some of their counter followed by cut backs to the central channels, but RSL looks pretty good and is definitely the stronger side. It's been fun, this year, to see this Glad Silva pairing improve and gain confidence. They're shutting people down, and scoring. We've gone from shaky in years past, to having a very good MLS pair there in the middle. Having four aerial threats on set pieces is no joke either, and is part, IMO of our 'success formula' this year.
I think our back 4 tonight has scored 7 goals now. 2 each for Schmitt, Glad, Silva, and 1 for Brody Definitely a good problem to have
Father’s Day morning here. Really hoping to hold on for the win to make the rest of the day shine. And looking ahead to a couple games at the RioT in the weeks ahead. if this stays 1-0 I think seeing some speed to get beheld their press for an equaliser would be great.
RSL just needs some good possession. They are going for broke for breakaway after every change of possession and losing it quickly every time.
