I just don’t want to see Jimenez, Guardado , Ochoa, Herrera,Moreno, Araujo, in a Mexico shirt ever again, enough with the bullshit and actually bring new blood from the first call up
So Mexico's round of 16 streak is over, we had a good run, bummer it had to end now. We've gotten away with 4 points in 2006, 2010 and maybe another one or two but the chickens came home to roost this time At least one streak that remains alive is Mexico having never lost to an Asian team in a senior World Cup
hes already 26. lets hope he goes the Pardo route and gets taken to Europe so he can shine and give use one or two more WC.
Damn, how many of them are there out there lost to the BS in Liga MX... Hope he leaves. He has a good touch. I like him Vega Edson Sanchez montes maybe Pineda, i think Jimenez might be done. He needs to find himself again. Didn't care for anyone else. We will always be in the same BS. Only way we get further will be individual talent. Hopefully some guys show up in 4 yrs
Lozano has to be the most overrated Mexican player of all time. It's so sad how Mexican wingers have this promising start, only to become one venado medinas. ******** anyone who thinks Carlos Vela wasn't needed here
Build the team around Luis Chavez. Have him as the captain. He lead by example, When the coach and veteranos were absent in leadership. have montes and vega support him in defense and attack. push the other relatively young players, so they enter 2026 in their prime: vasquez, kevin alvarez, edson, arteaga, pineda recover the best of Lozano, and Tecatito. And hopefully we get a few more new talented guys in 3 years…
Gimenez is the best thing for Mexico right now. There's a lack of pure finishers and the pricetag will be high on him in 1-2 years
Martin was great today and kudos for that but he was a ghost against Poland even though he hustled all thru the match but as expected, he didn't have the height or speed to combat the defensive and bigger Poles. Among the insane things to me was how Rogelio Funes Mori didn't start that match especially as Mexico was more conservative and thus they needed the physical presence up top. Jimenez did that in his time there but he came in too late. Same thing which happened against Argentina, where Jimenez was supposed to hold to the ball up top as to move the ball in the final third with the scoreless tie but Martino took too long and as he was going to go in, Messi scored and the plan went to waste.
I’m actually in Guadalajara and I was having a conversation with this girl who told me that she has a friend who played futbol and according to her was really good but in order for him to make his debut in Mexico’s 2nd division he needed to cough up 10,000 pesos… and this wasn’t a you get 20 min type of deal this was more so the last few minutes of the game. I’m sure that’s where the Chavez’s of the world have gone to die. Also, I think I’ve heard other people here mention similar stories. At the end of the day corruption is Mexico’s number one problem. Nothing will ever change as long as that doesn’t change. I wasn’t as invested this cycle. I picked up the NBA and focused my free time on that. I’ll always be a Mexico fan but I’ll never be as invested as I once was until I see things change but as of late things have just gone from bad to worse. See y’all in 3.5 years amigos.
I remember befriending a dude who played with Vela in fuerzas básicas. Apparently, there were a few other guys at his level who were not given a chance. Also for what it's worth, told me Vela was a cocky douche lmao Told me a few stories and tidbits about Mexican football. Retired Chava Carmona was still a beast of a defender.
a group elimination was probably for the best... Wtf was Tata gonna do against France? Turtle for pks? Would've been a disaster This may or may not be copium
Probably, but I'll always take another game, as you never know in sports. As much hate as Lavople gets here, we need a coach like him that will play and bring in young blood in the process.
Baños rejected the only offer that came from europe after olympics he just wanted to get out of america
