This lineup, playing like this, would have beaten Poland, likely tied or lost to Argentina by a goal, and moved on. Definitely got vibes of that 1998 third game when Hernandez got that goal past Jaap Stam. This squad had no Hernandez. Tata’s subs failed him. Now that the results are in it’s fair game to crush him for his squad decisions. Simply put he did not take the best payers available to him.
yup. We shouldn’t waste too much time moping, because this is all by design. I knew when Tudn started with that todos equipos (y’all know what I mean) campaign several years ago that it was going downhill. Look at the last Concacaf team standing. We’ll never hear the end of it.
I cannot begin to imagine another national league with the level of bald faced corruption and institutional rot that Liga MX has at its roots, but as long as they keep peddling that cancerous product, and as long as the owners keep piling the skeletons in that endless maw they’ve dug for themselves, this will be the end result.
The next WC cycle and next coach and next set of players and everything everything everything will be the same. The next DT will call up Javier Hernandez to sell some tickets and I would not be surprised if he played in 2026, the FMF will charge 2 million a pop per molero in the EEUU, people will be on here battling it out that X player is good or not etc etc etc… The good thing is that for those that remain fans, they won’t have to suffer through eliminatorias or any tournaments since there won’t be any since we were eliminated from all of them - ALL OF THEM. Maybe we will get a new maximo goleador with all the moleros that are for sure to take place: that is something to look forward to.
This argentinian on Peacock spitting some truth. Mexico is a money machine and nothing more and it wont change because to change would mean hitting the pocket books of the FMF.
I didn't that said, I think Mexico would have scored that much needed goal with him on the pitch. His passing and work rate during this match was superb today.
Hate to say it but that was a deserved exit. Shit play, shit technical decisions, shit federation. I truly hope this serves as a moment of introspection but I’m not sure if the FMF will be able to pull their heads out of their asses after this failure. We didn’t show up, in any sense. Not to mention, Ochoa saved the hell out of us in the first game with his Lewandowski block—had that not happened we’d be even more dead. Hopefully this makes us stronger. Here’s hoping that the next 4 years will be better than the 4 previous..
This is why I’m hoping the Dutch put a nice beating on the Nads. It likely won’t be a beatdown because, let’s face it, the Nads do have a good young generation on this squad and they are experts at clogging up the toilet.
We allowed 2 shots on target in each match. I would've felt good about that if you told me before the tournament.
The most we can hope for is complete financial collapse in the United States lmao, doesn’t seem far from occurring
If anything, bring on Funes but leave off Raul. Tata should have gone full huevos on the attack..but of course, typical, low-T Tata brings on Charly for the boner killer. SMH Edit: did he take off Alexis too?
Mexico will never change, Mexico will never produce, and Mexico will never grow. They have the capability to do so but hold themselves back. Never thought I’d see the day where the USA is better and more promising, this solidifies that statement. I’m out for now.
All this talk about the FMF means what exactly? What policy changes are actually saying when you say that?
