Bruh, you are clueless. Social/technological stagnation has been a huge problem in Japan for decades while Korea has been innovating constantly. That's the reason why the gap between Korea and Japan has closed as much as it has in the past 20 years. Japan is obviously still an extremely formidable nation but what you're saying is very misinformed.

Japan got a gift goal/win, while Spain didn't give a rip since they'd rather face Morocco than France. Germany are utter useless hitting their second consecutive group stage exit.

+1. Japan is an athletic nation, culturally. They have school sports competition. Unlike them, we lack sporting culture.

Bro we've been saying this since 2002. It never changes. Koreans just don't care about the K-league.

We're also bottlenecked because our boys need to attend military service so european clubs are less likely to take risks on buying Korean players.

Out or not? Ball isnt touching the line so that's out for me. Is it considered in if the ball is above the line even if it is not touching it like this..?

Japan's been the better team since Post - PJS / KSY / LCY era. I don't see us ever catching up to them now.

Standard rule in football is that if the ball crosses the line then it's out, but if the ball is directly on the line, then it's safe. I don't know who the VAR officials are but they are some blind mfers.

This. They have been building this team for 20+ yrs. They accepted that they need to learn from Europe and it is paying off now..

They look from above the ball. The new rule is that that you see the grass between the line and ball does not mean its out . Looks out , and its weird. But yeah.

They do sure love making stupid rules. Then in retrospect all the previous matches that had a similar situation should've been allowed as well smh.

Yes I m tired of VAR to be honest, have been for a while.
The most irritating thing is when they dont even bother looking at clear things.

VAR is fine imo, it's the people behind it that's not ok.

What's up with all this Japan adoration/Korea self flagellation? They've improved, yes. So did we. They've done well here--good for them. Just stop comparing ourselves to them--it only shows our insecurities.
