Mexico vs United States March 24, 2022 21:00 UTC−6 Stadium: Estadio Azteca Location: Mexico City, Mexico
🚨Con información de @GibranAraige , Héctor Herrera podrá jugar ante Estados Unidos, puesto que únicamente tiene una tarjeta amarilla, que fue ante Panamá en el último juego de eliminatoria. No existe sanción alguna. Buenísimas noticias. pic.twitter.com/IrHt04IcNm https://t.co/wGklvQY61W— Julio Rodríguez (@julioordz10) March 18, 2022
I’m expecting a boring 0-0 tie though the Nads lucking out with a 1-0 win wouldn’t surprise me. Ugh…can already imagine the Nads celebrating as if they just won the World Cup
This time around they are favorites. I think they are highly motivated to land a final blow. The Azteca isn't a good location anymore and we should have tried Toluca or Monterrey. Tata's goalkeeper selections are garbage. They will probably hit us with speed and beat us in the air so I would line up like this: -----------------------------Talavera-------------------------- Tecate----Johan----Montes----Araujo----Arteaga ----------------HH----------Edson------Gutierrez--------------- -------------------------Chucky----Raul-------------------------
--------------------Tala----------------- -Sanchez-Montes-Araujo-Johan ---Guti/Charly---HH--Edson--------- Tecate------Raul--------Chucky
I see your post as reverse psychology. The loss of McKennie was huge and Dest out will be exploited. Yedlin at RB has pace but that's all. He's prone to bad positioning and lacks technique. And Cannon is inexperienced. Either way Mexico should have a big advantage there. At worst it will be a draw but I predict 2-1, Mexico.
Terrible line up. Johan >>> Current Moreno Ochoa Gallardo Sanchez Charly are also not at the level for this game.
For this alone Tata should be fired. It's almost criminal that he starts over Johan. Even Montes is a better option.
Anyone know if it’s true that the Mexican federation conceded to all of US Soccer requests? Namely to not play during the day in hot temperature? Which is why they are playing at night/evening
The last time I remember a day game at Azteca for the national team was the playoff against New Zealand in 2013. I doubt the federativos planned on having this be a day game unless the qualification campaign was really threatened.
According to ESPN Deportes, this will be the starting lineup tonight: La Selección Mexicana saltará a la parcela del Estadio Azteca, con: Guillermo Ochoa, Jorge Sánchez, César Montes, Héctor Moreno, Gerardo Arteaga, Edson Álvarez, Héctor Herrera, Carlos Rodríguez, Jesús 'Tecatito' Corona, Hirving 'Chucky' Lozano y Raúl Jiménez. Glad to see Gallardo is on the bench where he belongs. Not a bad lineup. Would only replace Moreno with Vasquez
I am neither here nor there and think going through so many DT does us no good but even I am thinking otherwise. Either Canada and EEUU are grown into being a lot better (namely Canada) or Mexico is just that bad under this coach. With Osorio i was hasta la chingada but he did a lot better on balón parado. Most of the goals conceded which have resulted in losses have been on just that - set pieces.
The only reason I can think of on why Moreno is on this lineup is that he must can command the defense and Johan doesn’t. I think speed se lo traga.
