LOL @ people that even bring chicharo into the conversation. These aren’t moleros in U.S. soil, so he wouldn’t make a difference
Chicharito is a player that relies on speed and he's old now and never been the most skilled player to make up for his late age. not sure why he's being brought up lol
Numbers say he is far from world class. He is average at best. Kun Agüero: club 386 selección 41 Thierry Henry: - club 366 selección 51 Karin Benzema: Club 373 selección 35 Luis Suárez: club 447 selección 65 Harry Kane: Club 244 selección 48 Edison Cavani: Club 371 selección 53 Hugo Sánchez: Club 485 selección 29 Lionel Messi: Club 686 selección 80 Cristian Ronaldo: Club 683 selección 115 Ibrahimovic: Club 505 selección 62 Maradona: Club 310 selección 34 Neymar: Club 332 selección 70 Ronaldo Nazario: Club 362 selección 62 Paolo Guerrero: Club 233 selección 38 Robert Lewinsiwski: Club 509 selección 74 Lukako: club 255 selección 68 Edison Cavani: Club 371 selección 53 Javier Hernández: club 175 selección 52
Javier is an ok average player but the way Mexican football works makes his followers think he is world class. The issue here is not Javier himself, he is not a tronco but he is far from world class. It’s his image in Mexican football. He is the face of ALL that is wrong with Mexican football. Memo is not bad although he f’D up in these last 2 matches but if you watch Mexican media and all those trash channels, they will replay those blocked Neymar/Brazil shots that came right at him over and over with that corny ass dramatic music/background .
He was average at best in the US game as well. He's still green in some spots but I have faith he'll get better with time.
I said his movement in the box is world class not that he is. He’s very limited in other areas. He trips over on his own and cant dribble, but his movement in the box is what saves him. Mexico doesn’t have any of those players you mentioned. The only world class players Mexico has had is Hugo Sanchez and Rafa Marquez, that’s it.
Couldn’t have said it better myself, and those same fans are the ones who think that just because liga mx is still better than mls that makes the league world class as well
This is why I was upset that Tata called never were over the hill goalkeepers instead of youth. What the hell are Cota and Orozco doing getting call ups , this is a disgrace
Chicharito wasn't world class but he was very good at what he did. his movement without the ball was was excellent. Another thing he had is work ethic. I heard that he still worked out after practice
Mexico is capable of producing world class players. Hugo as arrogant as people may think he is, that vato was easily among the best of ALL time. Once again, Javier is an ok/average player, it’s the role his image plays. That image can be extended to A LOT of Mexican players.
when do we start actually, you know, realizing that Mexico is beholden to CONCACAF and it’s whims CONCACAF has the ultimate authority in the region
We had control of this dumb game in the first half. A fluke goal happens at the end of the half and then Tata undoes it all.
This Mexico team is bad. They haven’t played well in a long time. It’s not only the coach’s fault, these players are not in form.
