Solid win. I like Cho CS. But China man oh man. Must be the biggest soccer failure worlds has seen. If we consider how much money the put in. Their league. Imagine if smaller countries had the same resources.

Agree. Didn't create too much despite having the ball a lot. China were not bad with their defending till that moment
At the bottom part of the broadcast screen, there was an AI chart stating the result probabilities. It was flawed and I don't know what the point of it was. Korea clearly pressured China (although clumsily at the beginning). But the AI claimed the likelihood of China winning at 34%, a tie at 33%, and Korea at 33%. Soon after China's own goal, Korea's winning probability shot up to 68% while China's fell to around 10%. The difference got greater with each extra goal by Korea. The AI reminded me of this very loud and pretentious fortune teller who's dating my aunt.

CGS better finds an European club to play for after getting discharged from the service. 상식종신 won't help his game shape at Jeonbuk.
Ih your honest opinion, anthing can be done in the future barring an mercenari.es joinung the team? At what point will you I had enough of the crap football and stopr supporting the National Team? Thanks in Advance.
This team doesn't have our European based players. The difference clearly shows. I've been watching our team since the late 1980s. I have never seen Korea play this terribly before. That World Cup match with Germany gave us false hope. I began to notice the team's decline the year before the 2018 World Cup. Now I'm worried about this year's World Cup. I'm not sure how well our K-League players will play with our European based players. There's a reason why Son scores much less when in the national team.
Yes but we have a national team coach that insists on picking his favorite sons (ironically, not Son), like na sang ho and nam tae hee. Instead of players trusted to start/early sub every game in bundesliga/la liga like kang in and jeong. Also you shouldn't be worried, we have a very hard group so just lower your expectation now. Ghana just signed Inaki Williams and Lamptey btw, and are working on Nketiah and Hudson Odoi. Partey will feature as well as his SA charge was settled.
We've had our fair share of roller-coaster rides post 2010, but the quality of our domestic players have more or less remained the same. Not saying our domestic players are entirely bad, it's just that some of them do not belong on the national team whatsoever, and more importantly the quality in Japan's players of both foreign and domestic have gone up since 2010. We just have to accept that they're just the better team as they've always been since 2010.
Can't solely pin the blame on Bento. Tactics were garbage yes, but so were our players. Aside from our usual defensive, concentration/mental issues, our biggest issue is that we lack the pool depth that can even remotely fill in as a plan B or even a plan C, and how much we cannot afford to lose our key players i.e. Son, Kim Min-jae, Lee Jae-sung, Hwang Hee-chan, Hwang In-beom etc.
That was the first time I saw Korea have no shots on target against Japan during the first half. And that was the first time I saw Korea be weaker physically against Japan. In the same tournament, China tied with Japan. In June, the Korean U-23 team lost to Japan 3-0, too.
Wasnt it pretty much the same for Japan? TBH, we already lost the race to Japan. They don't have to do military service. They have partnerships with a lot of European teams so they can transfer their players very easily.. They also have been sticking with the same tactics regardless of different managers for decades. Even in their youth academy. They are teaching the same tactics. And it's paying off. They just need a good striker.. I doubt we will win even with our best 11 against theirs now..
What's odd is that Korea showed a lot of potential with the U-20 team in 2019. Korea actually reached second place in the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland. The Korean U-17 women's team won the 2010 U-17 Women's World Cup. Then came the dismal results of the 2019 Women's World Cup. There's something going on in Korea's system.
We only had a single shot on target, and that was from a shot by Song Min-kyu during the second half. Also, our u16 team lost to Japan 3-0 as well, just weeks before our u23 team lost to Japan in the very same fashion. Last night's loss makes it four in total, that's four consecutive 3-0 losses to Japan on both senior and youth level respectively within a span of roughly a year and 6 months.
Honestly, a draw could've still been doable, at worse a 1-0 loss. Albeit, they fielded a rotational squad vs China, but that's really not saying much considering last night's match. As I've mentioned above, they just have an overall pool of quality players. While we were lagging behind, they were improving, so we can no longer consider ourselves as the 아시아의 호랑이, at least not with this type of performance.
