Very entertaining game from both sides. Suzuki sharp and good as always, initialized the attack by himself, later with a great run and a good finish to make it 2-1 against Leverkusen.

Hits the post with a nice volley and a light deflection against Itos Genk.

 

Next goal to make it 4-1 and assisted the 5-1 in the Second leg win over Itos Genk. Great game by Suzuki again.

He was incredible, everywhere. Hockey assist the 2-0 also and was involved in almost every attack with plenty other good moments.

He has a very strong debut season.

Yeah like some others. Has nothing to do with performance. Coach said they played that well and that intense they have to get free days and stay at home to recover.

Suzukis seasons is such a joy and he played that much. Good for him to rest and prepare for the Europa League.

Suzuki is Freiburgs key player.

 

Please god no...looks like Suzuki broke his collarbone yesterday. A heavy crash with a player from Wolfsburg and he was send directly into the hospital. Coach said it looks very worse.

That would mean WC is over and would also miss the half final and maybe final of the Europa League. Please god no....he is very very needed for the WC.

Yeah they confirmed it, it's broken. Season is over and WC also, he gets surgery today...********ing sad and he has such a great season. He was our only real No 10. Now its up to Kodai Sano.

And it's so sad, that he will also miss the Europa League..
Theoretically he could be fit to the WC but Japan should stop to call injured players.

Endo, Machida, Suzuki they need to stay at home regardless his quality cause you guys remember 2014 ? There was also a not fit Uchida, Honda and a few others and you could cleary see form/fitness issues.

 

Freiburg won tonight and will meet Aston Villa in the final of Europa League the 20th of may.
To bad we wont see Suzuki.

 

They had no chance in the final. Lost 3-0 against Villa.
