There haven't been any real rumblings on that. It is possible though. Of course, they could be selling Mbaizo, Wagner, McGlynn, or Gazdag as well. Half of the Union's starting lineup could be sold this offseason if the right offers came along. Not yet. Haven't even seen any rumors of him talking to anyone either.

Cabral had 6g/5a in 61 apps with LAG. The move opens a DP spot for LA. pic.twitter.com/2F09453mnX— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 8, 2022 Colorado will take your tired, your poor, your unwanted DPs yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your front office blunders.

Sources: Austin FC are in talks to sign forward Gyasi Zardes in free agency. Expectation is a deal gets done.Zardes, 31, would reunite with former Columbus, USMNT assistant Josh Wolff in Austin. That and much, much more in an insider notebook.https://t.co/SwjzpOK74B— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 8, 2022 Nope.
Well, Austin has managed to get a pretty good year out of at least one MLS forward that's played on several other teams. I'm not going to laugh at this acquisition... yet.
This balances out the trade a bit more. Essentially LA paid his transfer fee and most of his salary for his first contract and Colorado is burning $1M in GAM and $500K in cash to pay him over 3 years above max salary. Adding to this, per sources: The LA Galaxy will cover around 50% of Kevin Cabral's salary for the next three seasons while he's on the Colorado Rapids.Cabral will still be a Designated Player in Colorado. https://t.co/U1wJHZJxhH— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 8, 2022
Imagine stockpiling GAM only to spend it on a guy that costs way too much and plays in a position you didn't need. Thats what the Rapids just did with Cabral.
I'm bullish on Cabral in Colorado. He runs his butt off and manipulates the backline constantly. In the thin air he'll wear down the other team. If he can find his finishing boots (even just 5-10G) it will be worth it for CO.
I'd say it would need to be closer to 1(g+a)/200min to justify the spend on him. That's kind of the low bar for a DP-level attacking player.
Yeah I guess my point is that Cabral stock can't get much lower so this is a reasonable gamble IMO. He has some tools. Major upgrade over Barrios even if he can't finish his tap-ins. He should tilt the field with his aggressive runs.

Osorio re-signs with TFC and Zardes to Austin. Both are on three-year contracts with an option year for 2026. Osorio is a TAM signing and I'm assuming Zardes is as well but that isn't in the press release like it is with Osorio.
