With the exception of Gio Reyna, our players came back safe. Let's win all three points and keep a clean sheet, shall we?

Malen should have scored just now. On such a level in this position, you need to get the ball at least on goal.
I also think Cologne are lucky not to get a red a few minutes earlier. That was a wild revenge foul from behind.

Brandt scores. Finally a good finish.

I'm surprised Terzić didn't rest either one of Süle or Schlotterbeck and start Hummels.

We suck! I am having the worse week and needed some positive to build on. Guess this ain't the place to find it... This team always lets me down.

Those two goals, that's the kind of defending we know too well.
Just before the Bayern game, who had a clear win against Leverkusen, things line up for yet another disastrous result against them.

Fun fact: BVB haven't won a single match in which Hummels didn't play the full 90 minutes.

Cologne 3:1 after they hit the post minutes before that. It's worrying how bad we are getting outplayed.

3-1. Should be 4-1 by now...with that goal post. This team is not going in the right direction and is very weak, especially mentally.

    3:2, very lucky.
Cologne should have scored more, they kept getting through but now there's at least some hope.

Rothe goal. Enough for a comeback?

No... we needed a win and I don't see us scoring 2 times in the last 5 minutes. Like was said before, only us are that bad to let that many goals in such amount of time!

And another loss. Sevilla and Bayern next. Will be a very tough week. A series of losses could end the whole season early.
First half looked decent and then Cologne just rolls over us. I think physicality won over technical abilities today. Cologne had speed and always found free space even when we weren't that unordered. It seems we never have these opening plays like Cologne had for the 1:1.
I don't even know whether it's just a few puzzle pieces missing. Reus and a first rate keeper + striker were obvious misses today.

Modeste barely has 1 goal and 4 shots on target this year after 8 games, why is he still on the team?
Haaland had like 3 goals in his first game, Batshuay had 2, Alcacer had 1. Let's at least start Moukoko and give him minutes to gain experience.

Fully expect 2 big L there as well. We are just not good enough and have holes everywhere in the lineup.

BTW, why has Meyer been preferred over Unbehaun?

Meyer has been a 2. Liga player his entire career, whereas Unbehaun is a youth academy product.

Unbehaun has stagnated a lot in his development according to locals that follow the 2nd team. He is barely 3rd Liga level at this point.
