    In terms of player quality, this is not "Wow!" signing like Maxsø, but at least we actually have a LB now. If he can match Esteves' play last year for a fraction of the cost we're in good shape...though we admittedly don't know the transfer fee or his salary/cap hit atm.

    Interesting result in Liga MX, from Jon Arnold's CONCACAF newsletter
    Our Leagues Cup opponents couldn't score at home against 10 men for almost 1/3rd of the game and 9 men for 1/3rd of the game.

    I highly recommend this interview with Nanna Karlson about Maxsø. Some good details into his work ethic, etc. Says he's at this best in the middle of a 3 back system.

    With the launch of the Apple service tomorrow, things are getting clarified for Rapids broadcasts, at least a bit:

    It seems like Balboa and Jordan Angeli will be tasked by MLS/Apple with doing the Rapids coverage in Spanish and English, respectively. Angeli is listed as "Analyst/host" so it's unclear who'd be doing play-by-play. That might rotate?

    The article also discusses the roles to be played by Drew Moor, Connor Cape, Brian Crookham, and Mike Revollo. They, as far as I know, will be working more directly for the Rapids, and not for MLS/Apple as Balboa and Angeli are.

    I took a completely different read from that article than you did.

    Balboa - Working for Apple as a Spanish analyst on any number of games, not just Rapids games. He will also do various media things for the Rapids but not call games (unless Apple assigns him to the Rapids game in a given week).

    Angeli - Main host of in-house produce stuff by the Rapids. Will call some games in the radio and will be the sideline reporter for some games (my guess is that she'll be on the sidelines for Apple on home games and fill in for Crookham on the radio when he can't do it). She may also be the main person on pre/post game shows if the club does any.

    Moor - Jack-of-all-trades. He'll do some of the pre/post game stuff. some radio stuff, some video segments, etc. If he's also coaching like he was in Mexico this makes sense.

    Cape & Crookham - Primary radio team. Their call will be what's available produced by the Rapids, supplemented at times with Angeli and/or Moor in the booth as well.

    Essentially on game day expect Angeli to be around on Apple, either hosting pre/post game or doing sideline reporting. Don't expect Balboa most of the time. Moor only occasionally. Cape and Crookham on radio.

    During the week Balboa, Angeli, and Moor will do features and analysis for Apple TV segments, some of which might be used on game day.

    Lots of good content (see some of the above posts) from Joseph Samelson and DNVR Rapids in the last few days. They're all worth a read/listen.
