Group C has two VSR teams and two Sand teams. Each were matched up. First in VSR it was Sasha Juniors up against Real Newark. Real Newark had the lone Kane assist. Though Haaland blanked for Sasha Juniors at little late game magic from Martinelli and James Ward-Prowse from the bench wrapped things up. In the Sand match up FC Epikoinis had Rashford and his brace along with Zinchenko for another goal. Glorydaze looks likely to be the first into the Round of 12 for Group D. The next match up is between Tangers FC and ColdDogSoupFC. They are just 2 points and 1 point ahead of GameofOhhs going into their match. Tangers FC running with five in the back got three clean sheets but neither a goal nor an assist. For ColdDogSoupFC, Salah and Núñez had a nice away match to Newcastle before the ugly home defeat to Real Madrid. For Group B Soccer Steve is the gate keeper being at the bottom of the table for teams to reach the Round of 12. Matched up against Lokomotiv Lewisham for the beginning of the second half of the Round of 16, Soccer Steve got some good output from Van Dijk, Foden and Jiménez for two goals and two assists. That doubles what Lokomotiv Lewisham could produce with just Jota and Ødegaard coming in with an assist and a goal. Three points for Soccer Steve and the floor is set at four. With two matches to go a ten or above gets you in. (blech to check if that is lower than 10 for final documents). It might be 8 as the magic number. This group looks like it will be down to the final gameweek as Kopite Juniors at the top of the table took on Journeymen who won silver this week. For the Boot, Journeymen had Ødegaard, Sarabia and Van Dijk with goals and Bowen and Nketiah with assists. Kopite Juniors just had a single Salah goal and just like that the third place team in Group A take their lead to move to first place. For now... In the other match up Top Shelf has a goal and assist from Haaland along with a brace from Danny Ings. Aviators, formerly in last place in Group A, beat that with Saka, Trossard and Watkins hit for two goals and three assists for three points and move into second position. The table have flipped as the bottom two teams each win and we now have only two points separating the top and the bottom of the table.
