Teams play head to head and score a point for each goal or assist from their players who play that gameweek. It starts with group stages and ends in a bracket. Recap of rules First Group Stage – Boot 1 : 24 Teams playing Group A 6 teams - 1st and 2nd in all rocks leagues to draft Group B 6 teams - 3rd and 4th in all rocks leagues to draft Group C 6 teams - 5th and 6th in all rocks leagues to draft Group D 6 teams - 7th and 8th in all rocks leagues to draft Total of 10 gameweeks to complete. Gameweeks 1-10 Every team plays each other twice. Lowest team in the table is eliminated – the Boot. Points are first, then goals and assists, then goals. then assists. Second Group Stage – Boot 2 : 20 Teams playing. Same Groups with the 5 remaining teams. Remaining 5 teams each play each other twice again. Lowest team in table is eliminated. Schedule based on format rankings. Total of 10 gameweeks to complete. Based on odd number of teams. Each week one team will have a bye week. Gameweeks 11-20 Third Group Stage – Boot 3 : 16 Teams Playing. New Groups At this point 16 teams will be remaining. Those 16 teams will be broken into 4 groups of 4 based on rankings. If two teams have the same number of points (from wins and draws) then total goals and assists. If there is still a tie, total goals. Each team plays each other twice. Lowest team in table is eliminated – the boot Total of 6 games weeks. Gameweeks 21-26 Fourth Group Stage – Boot 4 : 12 Teams Playing. Same Groups Remaining 3 teams in each group each play each other twice again. Lowest team in table is eliminated. Schedule based on format rankings. Total of 6 gameweeks to complete. Based on odd number of teams. Each week one team will have a bye week. Gameweeks 27-32 Bracket – 8 Teams Playing At this point 8 teams will be remaining. Round of 8 to Final The remaining 8 teams will be ranked based on total points, totals goals and assists, then goals. The 8 teams will be placed in a bracket. Top seeded team plays the lowest seeded team. Each match will have a home and away game. If there is a tie then away points (goals and assists will govern) If like last year we have a Gameweek with less than 6 matches that Gameweek will be cancelled. Like last year we will adjust the schedule by reducing the Bracket home and away matches one at a time as necessary stating with the Final and working our way backwards.

Round of 24 - Group A GW 1 We are going to see who has Salah and who does not. And if you didn't have Salah, how did you do. Glorydaze with DeBruyne instead of Salah was up against the Small Rocks Salah with ColdDogSoupFC. Goals from Toney and Martinelli combine with DeBruyne's assist for 3. Round of 24 - Group B GW 1 Group B starts to see the Kane and Haaland squads. The first match up has Kane with FC St. Pauli versus Haaland with Top Shelf. FC St. Pauli only gets a goal from Set and Forget Ward-Prowse. Top Shelf not only gets the Haaland brace but the 0.1 value off of Kane. Besides winning Gold for the game week, Top Shelf also had the forethought to avoid the Wolves defense and instead to bring in Daniel Castelo Podence for a double digit haul. Wilson gets a goal and Chilwell the assist. Aviators with DeBruyne as captain took on the new club, Living in Dreamland. Assists from Welbeck and Saka combine for three assists. Round of 24 - Group C GW 1 The Small Rocks match up had Journeymen up against last years All Rocks champion, blechs dawgs. Journeymen had Vardy as Captain and TAA as Vice. The captain choice worked. That assist along with the Dier header was not enough to beat blech who had Saka, Daka, Son, Maddison and Zinchenko. Four of the five mattered. One just rhymed. Those four, all with assists gets the three points. REVEALED: Starboy XI had four defenders in the back all with 1 point with Mitrovic on the bench. Makes sense to think Cash, Doherty, Fofana and Robertson should outscore Mitrovic. Scoring was De Bruyne, Wison and Maddison for a goal and two assists. Recognizing that the groups track draft order (A=1&2, B=3&4, C=5&6, and D=7&8), here is an interesting look on the goal production across the groups in GW1: Group A - 26 goals Group B - 19 goals Group C - 13 goals Group D - 8 goals As shown by the perfectly descending order, apparently--at least for one week--there is a strong correlation between draft position and goal scoring! Of course, most of these goals did not come from the first round picks, and all of us passed on the goal scorers that were picked up in round 2 and thereafter!

Round of 24 - Group A GW 2 We are going to see what happened on the Salah bust of a weekend. Starting off with a VSR match up with Kopite Juniors up against Soccer Steve. Kopite with Salah had three goals all found elsewhere thanks to James, Maddison and Mbuemo. Mitrović had the PK miss but that would not have changed the result. Soccer Steve had a goal from his Chelsea defender Koulibaly, too. A goal and assist from Foden in his 45 minutes, a goal from Buendia and two assists from Toney for three goals and three assists to get all 3 points and to move out of the bottom of the standings. New club Borussia DaMarcus was up against Small Rocks veteran, ColdDogSoupFC. Borussia get a Ben Mee and Ings goal to add to Captain Haaland's disappointing assist. ColdDogSoupFC was even more disappointed, to have goose egged after winning Gold last weekend. The last match up had our Gold medal winner up against the Wooden Spoon winner of the week. Total blow out with Glorydaze racking up a mind boggling score of 11 with 3 goals and 8 assists. Pararaiders who won Silver last week also goose egged. What we learned is that everyone who won last weekend lost this weekend. Goal differential puts Glorydaze on top. For now.... Round of 24 - Group B GW 2 Group B had the VSR match up of Aviators versus Sasha Juniors. Aviators had DeBruyne make good on his first round draft pick with a goal and an assist. The rest of the squad was silent except happening to have the recipient of the Darwin head butt. Sasha Juniors were able to manage a bit more than a Darwin red card. A goal from Martinelli and assists from Haaland and Harrison for a narrow win. Once again points were left on the bench. Living in Dreamland won Bronze with 3 goals and 3 assists. For the Boot, that was good enough for 3 points against last weeks Gold Medal winner, Top Shelf, who only had a James goal and Haaland assist. Round of 24 - Group D GW 2 Our last group and our last VSR match up of the weekend: GameofOhhs versus BiggerBoat. BiggerBoat gets assists from backline pairing of Cancelo and Cucurella. Round of 24 - Group A GW 3 This is the group where everyone has a single win and a single loss. We all know the Salah's got at least one goal for the dissapointing match against can't play it out of the back De Gea and Co. Our first match up did not have a Salah. Soccer Steve had a Son as captain and Toney as the the lone goal recorder. Borussia DaMarcus had the Haaland captain to cancel out the Toney goal. The win comes by the brace from Ødegaard and another goal from Trossard. Next up is another non-Salah team who happens to be leading All Rocks, Small Rocks and the Fantasy Olympics. That, one Glorydaze, had De Bruyne as captain and six other players combining for three goals and five assists. They were up against Honorable Mention, Kopite Juniors, who had Salah. The back line of Digne, Cucurella, Robertson and Gomez, geared for the Golden Boot, all blanked. Leaving Wilson on the bench was the determining factor as Lokomotiv Lewisham had Wilson in the line up with just Bernardo and Ødegaard to bring in a goal and assist for the former and a brace for the later to claim all three points. Round of 24 - Group B GW 4 We have a Haaland hat trick floating around along with a Diaz brace. Might find a couple of those in Group B. First up was VSR versus Small. Top Shelf in Small had Haaland and James. Hat trick and an assist. Sasha Juniors in VSR had Haaland and Firmino. I think what Firmino had was a flush. Sasha Juniors rack up five goals and five assists. Living in Dreamland had a Kane brace and assists from James and Foden. That doubled what Aviators in VSR could produce. They got the blank from De Bruyne and the bone chilling goal from Anderson in the Man City versus Crystal Palace match and another assist from barely living up to the preseason hype Saka. Meanwhile, the latest multi-generational dynasty of All Rocks, senior legend FC St. Pauli, had a great outing captaining Sterling over Kane to get to the rank of 7 out of 24 in All Rocks and 4 out of 8 in Small Rocks. Braces from those two and assists form Cucurella and Saliba (long gone are the days of the 6.0 Arsenal of Gallas and Sagna) get the edge over Living in Dreamland. Also with Captain Kane and James but only Foden to back them up gives FC St. Pauli the full three points.
