It's not Vegas expensive, but it's not super cheap ... that said, Lotus of Siam is the best Thai food I've ever had.
Anyone got a beat on what the start time for the final would be? Not having to stay overnight Saturday (night before game) saves on hotel cost.
Its going to be subdued this year but the biggest hacker convention annually is happening July 30-Aug07 so hotels aren't going to be cheap.
It looks like the teams themselves know their schedules. Honduras will their Group Stage matches in Houston. https://www.laprensa.hn/deportes/14...e-de-grupos-copa-oro-2021-houston-texas?amp=1 I feel this makes it even more likely that the USA/Canada group will be hosted in Austin.
There's really nothing more fun in life than trying to figure out the MNT's Gold Cup schedule by process of elimination.
This change makes it look like Kansas might be hosting Group Stage matches instead: https://www.sportingkc.com/post/202...austin-fc-moved-june-12-children-s-mercy-park It also gives Austin one fewer reasons to ask for training time on their own pitch and give priority to Gold Cup teams.
Costa Rica in Utah! https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...for-june-9-at-rio-tinto-stadium-in-sandy-utah I'll laugh if Mexico or the USA don't win their first CNL match and Mexico and Honduras end up playing each other twice in one month and Costa Rica and Mexico end up doing the same thing.
This report says Austin will host a quarterfinal doubleheader on Sunday, 7/25. No mention of group-round games. "An announcement of the full tournament schedule is expected to come later this week." https://thestrikertexas.com/2021/05...s-q2-stadium-austin-semifinals-dallas-houston "The source also said that both Gold Cup semifinals will be played in Texas, one at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and the other at NRG Stadium in Houston. Both semifinals are to be played on Thursday, July 29." https://www.kxan.com/sports/gold-cu...as-sources-say/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

I think that's happening all over the world this time. Schedules are being compressed because of pandemic-related postponements.
Long time mostly lurker here, but based on articles I'm reading, "CBS Sports" means the Paramount+ app for the three Nations League games (two semis and final) as well as any US away WCQ other than Mexico. So just be prepared for that. It stinks, but it is better than the old days of having to pirate grainy feeds. There is also this one sentence which gives some hope: "The CBS Sports network also has the ability to air select fixtures on its linear platforms." https://www.sportspromedia.com/news...acaf-2022-fifa-world-cup-qualifiers-streaming
So the semifinals and finals are less easily available than the group stages? I guess CONCACAF is going to CONCACAF...
Unfortunately it appears that way. I have not noticed any forums anywhere yet talking about these games being on Paramount+, but that's where we are.
I switched from Peacock to Paramount+ a while back. P+ is going to have UCL, Italian Serie A, NWSL, Argentina's Liga Profesional de Fútbol, Campeonato Brasileirão Série A, and I'm sure they'll be trying to add to that portfolio. And unlike BeIN in 2018 they can switch games to a more accessible channel.
Yeah, I put CBS Sports just because it wouldn't surprise me for them to flex at least the two US games to linear television as well, but there's been no news specifically.
Not busting your chops for that at all. It's correct. All of these WILL be on some CBS sports outlet. I just wanted to mentally prepare people for the possibility of Paramount+ for quite of few of our A team matches over the next year. Edited to Add: I appreciate what you and others do in these schedule threads. I've used them for a LONG time.
So are you guys saying it might changed, baecause as of now the Honduras match is listed as Paramount+ https://www.ussoccer.com/competitio...e-2019-2020/matches/honduras-vs-united-states Of course, you can watch for free over the air....in spanish, Think Im going to spend my $10 on Babel or DuoLingo and finally learn to habla espanol.
Or you can simply not listen to the audio. You're an experienced soccer fan. When you go to a game in person, you can tell what's happening without needing a play-by-play announcer sitting next to you, so you should be able to do the same when you watch a game on TV.
