The outstanding play of Courtney Peterson and Phoebe McClernon at Orlando prompted me to look at other second year players who are making big impacts on their teams. I also looked at how I think the Rookies are doing. I have two groups of Sophomores: the first are the players with the biggest impact game-in and game-out and the second are big impact players who see less time on the pitch. Draft pick numbers are given. Group One: #14 Phoebe McClernon, #7 Courtney Peterson, #4 Ashley Sanchez, #3 Taylor Kornieck, #2 Morgan Weaver (always has a big impact, even when not starting) Group Two: #5 Evelyn Viens, #8 Tziarra King, #1 Sophia Smith For the Rookies, right now, I’d say the Big Three are: #2 Trinity Rodman, #1 Emily Fox, and #15 Victoria Pickett. -CJ
That's a great list. It's too bad the league doesn't publish statistics on headers, because I think Korniek has double what any other player has -- and the majority of them have been good headers.
