Here is a video, i.e., the 9th Annual Mack Brady Memorial Clinic, featuring several great U.S. GKs, e.g., Nick Rimando and Luis Robles, and coaches / GK coaches, e.g., Ben Olson, and with tips and lessons learned for young GKs, and an interesting GK discussion for older GKs too. The session was held in memory of Mack Brady, a dedicated young GK. Mack lived in State College, PA and was a big Penn State soccer fan. He passed away when he was just 8 years old, and a Penn State memorial fund was established in Mack's memory, with the donations to the fund significantly devoted to supporting the GK players on the Nittany Lions' men soccer team. Here is the link to the online session discussing GK lessons learned and tools of the trade: And here is more info on the Mack Brady Memorial Penn State Soccer Fund: http://www.mackbrady.com/ A former Penn State GK at practice with Mack Brady's #7 patch (Mack wore #7 as a GK) on his back:
Big game, Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Maryland Terrapins tonight -- on BTN+ (pay per view). Let's go State!!! 453 days since Penn State soccer has been played a game. Game will be played inside.
Looks like this is the only darn game being streamed so far. I'm watching "live stats" of the IU - Wis game now.
Couple of clips from Penn State's 3-2 win against Maryland ... Three goals, three players, three cellys 🤩@PrivettAndrew @petemang5 @PierreReedy #WeAre pic.twitter.com/5byG2NyiCd— Penn State Men’s Soccer (@PennStateMSOC) February 20, 2021 https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=435486584429904
Thanks. Saw IU started strong with three goals and clean sheet. Good stuff at start for the Hoosiers. PSU started quick and put a lot of high pressure on Maryland in the first half. Maryland caught PSU a few times with the counter, resulting in two PKs from take downs in the box late in the first half. Maryland missed the first PK wide, made the second. In the second half Maryland controlled much more of the ball / action and were pressing for most of it. Penn State had a few other chances on counters themselves in the second half, but didn't finish. PSU held firm for the W after MD's second goal at 73 minutes. At one point in late in the second half Sasho got a yellow for dissent.

Yea, Butts did quite well last year. I only saw the first game vs. MD online (single camera, and sort of hard to watch given the coverage and indoor pitch -- which was covered with about lines for at least football, soccer, lacrosse and perhaps one or two other sports.) Liam went out in the first have after about 20 minutes, I think, after hitting a wall behind the goal. He came back for a while in the second half, but seemed was dinged up a bit. It looked like MD was on the lookout for him, and perhaps that may have opened things up a bit for PSU's two quick goals to start the game. He did play in the second game, but I didn't see it. The only stats listed for him so far after the first two games are 2 shots, both on goal, both, obviously, saved.
Congrats to Michigan State. This Michigan State article / link below includes a clip of the Spartan's goal vs. Penn State, to get the 1-0 win in State College, PA. Looks like an own goal to me, and a few prior Penn State miscues also contributed to the goal. But credit to MSU for putting this one on the board, and for playing well and tough the whole game. Both teams had a number of good chances, but neither could convert until this one with just 3 minutes until full-time. https://msuspartans.com/news/2021/2...ls-off-1-0-upset-win-at-no-20-penn-state.aspx

Highights from the fIrst game back on Penn State's home pitch of Jeffrey Field since back in November 2019, a year and 4 months ago. Nice to be home again -- the field looks good and seems to be in great condition. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1...915485¬if_t=watch_follower_video&ref=notif
