Great for Marsch. Great for American soccer players and now coaches. Red Bull organization is proving how committed they are as a corporation to the sport of soccer. Not just corporate branding but also bringing up talented players and now coaches under their umbrella. They're light years ahead of Manchester City / Etihad or any other soccer corporation.
That's some hot garbage right there. The article in the Athletic was fantastic - that and the one about the misadventures of Carlos Bocanegra and HotLanta not-United.

Aaron Long lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles per Goff. Feel for the guy, what an awful injury. We can make jokes about stuff, but this is his livelihood and this is about as bad as it gets.
Does anyone know if these punks were DCUnited Fans or just local trash? One of our young strikers kept his ultimate cool when monkey chants were aimed at him by these same section of fans behind the goal. I would hope that audio from the whole second half’s footage is being listened to very very closely by the powers that be. @USLChampionship https://t.co/FRbhUobSZd— Mandela Egbo (@mandela_e) May 19, 2021
I really didn't hear any monkey sounds on that clip. If the woo-woo-woo sound is supposed to be it, my dog makes that sound when she sees someone/something coming towards our house.
The video wasn't the source of the data, but people on the ground - teammates, coaches, and opposing fans.
Dang if the Wiz win tonight, the Wiz/Nats/Caps/DCU/Mystics would all play on Sunday within a six-hour span— Dan Steinberg (@dcsportsbog) May 20, 2021
https://www.mlssocceritalia.com/2021/05/10/galderisi-experience-mls-best-decision-ever/ Nice interview to Nanu Galderisi, who played in MLS in its first two years of existence. If you were following Italian football in the 80's you will know who he is.
Just noticed this news story about the Earthquakes in their local newspaper. I opened it last week but never got around to looking at it - I'll post the entirety of it here as whether by browser blockers or by design almost the entire page of the story on the link was blank anyway ...... SAN JOSE – A former San Jose Earthquakes Stadium contract manager has been sentenced to 20 months in federal prison for sabotaging the venue’s concessions system on opening day last year, leaving thousands of soccer fans unable to buy food and inflicting a loss of nearly $270,000, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday. The sentence follows 41-year-old San Jose resident Salvatore La Rosa’s decision to plead guilty on Feb. 17 to one count of intentional damage to a protected computer. ...
He’s with us, but she plays for somebody else: https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...kundrich-married-dc-united-washington-spirit/
Andy Polo with ruptured quad after that leg breaking tackle. My orthopedic surgeon suffered the same injury playing tennis. He was in a leg cast for months and after that swore off playing tennis with guys younger than him. This could be career ending for Polo. Williams should get a lifetime ban. That tackle wasn’t even “arguably” a soccer play, it was a straight assault.
Sources: #TFCLive have told #usmnt striker Jozy Altidore to train on his own apart from the first team after a disagreement with manager Chris Armas: https://t.co/t6D4MCmTGH— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) May 28, 2021 Meh? Thx, Jay!
2 years left on his deal, 3.6mil per. No thanks and it would never happen anyway. I've been a fan of his with the Nats, but now he's too injury prone and hulked out, he's not that guy scoring for fun anymore.
Dafuq, Marco Received a visit from @MLS legend, Marco Etcheverry. 💪 pic.twitter.com/50yVkFWt9R— Charlotte FC (@CharlotteFC) May 27, 2021
My Christmas card list just got shorter, LOL! Good to see him... smiling? Support your local, I guess.
Did he move from Sterling to NC? Someone, possibly even on that particular twitter thread, said that they messed up by not calling themselves Racing Charlotte instead of the boring af and highly inaccurate City-name fc
Man, I didn't even think of the brilliance of Racing Charlotte for the MLS team until you mentioned it here.
