Yes, it took until August 10, 2021 to create a 2021 Optimism Thread. Please post your Optimistic outlooks towards our Chicago Fire (FC). I will start with posts for the Mansueto Buying FC Lugano: Take that shit to the Optimism Thread! Yeah, we FINALLY have something to take to the Optimism Thread!
can't explain it, but I enjoy watching this year's team so much more than last year's -- I try to watch most games even though they're bottom of the table feel like the scheme is resulting in output greater than the sum of the parts of the field, to which I give Wicky credit and makes me hopeful for when the parts are better -- my main complaint is that he has some strange personnel decisions in who gets playing time I'm optimistic that most of the overpaid contract years expire after this season
I, an admitted serial optimist, do think that we are on the right track. The results have not come yet, but I think they will in the next few years.
The Fire with a 6% chance of making the playoffs and an "almost" 1% chance of winning MLS Cup 2021, according to 538. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/mls/
