If we defeated Costa Rica, we would’ve momentarily been in third place!!!!

Well it is a long process. This current squad is in a way a bandaid but I see it benefitting. Some will be key experienced players for the next WCQ. That way most of the players won't be new to a WCQ. I think after the WCQ he's probably going to work a lot with youth players. Some how be part of changing the 1st division infrastructure with Carillo and Diego. I think It's too much work for him. He probably needs someone like Cienfuegos, Diaz Arce, Cerritos, and even Jorge Rodriguez some how involved with being part of being in charge of the 1st division or organizing the youth academies for each club. It might be too big of a project.

I was also thinking of projects where they bring in U17-21 South American youth coaches or even upcoming MLS coaches to the 1st division of El Salvador for at least 1 season kind of like a loan deal before they take charge coaching 1st division in their country they're mainly coaching. El Salvador has too many recycled coaches for over 5 years. That's fine if they were very successful in the league and once their ideas don't work or just run dry in general they could move to a smaller club.

If anything Hugo work won't work alone. If we want quicker progress the same effort needs to be put in the 1st division, reserves, and youth teams of each club. Improving the professionalism of each club with field conditions, stadium condition for the players for example the locker rooms, bathroom, and training facility, and getting more sponsors like the national team recently.

Hugo can't fix everything. He's doing a part but if other parts of Salvadoran futbol does not get fixed soon the national team could potential be going back to the 1999-2007 era of Salvadoran of futbol but not as bad with their current sponsoring. They might have more money right now but they can lose those sponsors as well with time.

Definitely. Had much talent around the league that also wasn’t used.

Gotta say, this is now showing on the NT level. EVERY player that’s been used outside the 11 has lacked quality (except the defenders so good shit to Dominguez, Vigil, and claros). We’re seeing this from the USL players too, bc what have they shown? Nothing. It’s crazy how quick we’ve come down to see reality.

It’s catching up to us, to lack of a good league and good players abroad. While i think we gotta go looking past this WCQ to the next and start building, it’s gonna hurt to see how bad we get smacked this second half of the qualifiers. We play EVERY GAME AWAY EXCEPT ONE. It’s against CR. We’re playing in SPS, Rommel Fernandez, Azteca, and Columbus. Christ almighty, if these last two games show anything, we’re in for a world of hurt guys.

we also have been punished by FIFA. Gotta pay 32 thousand dollars and no fans behind the goals for the games, so el Vietnam and the seats behind the benches should be open. It’ll happen for the November game vs Jamaica

That Orellana sanction is utter bull. That was a complete accident, and the fact that it’s two games ANDa personal fine? I want the same attitude for every single person that gets a red for WCQ in CONCACAF.

I’m surprised it took this long to sanction the NT over the US game. That felt tame AF to what the fans did during the Mexico game who do deserve a sanction.

Sucks Claros can’t get key minutes to get him more accustomed and tested. I’m Guessing he will do a similar thing like last time and call USL kids, I really hope he leaves Tamacas at home guy has been carrying injuries and last thing you want is to push that. I would call guys that usually have been on the bench for the NT as well as a few variants to build up depth.

Also the USL regular season ends October 30th so all of them should be available, playoffs go on through November but they shouldn’t run into any issues.

Venezuela will be in Houston, while Chile will be in California. They need some friendlies closer to home, how can Claros get minutes if he is probably still going to have visa issues with the US.

Better hope the strikers in the local league pick it up because it’s looking like we won’t be able to count on Bonilla for November.

Call up list for the Bolivia game.

Not a fan of him calling Tamacas he’s been carrying nagging injuries so I would have left him behind to rest.

I think he’s doing so to get him abroad. Get him more exposure at the expense of his fitness smh

I really don’t like that especially with the history Alianza has when it comes to potential abroad deals. I know Pohl is gone but that mindset still remains.

Also Narciso Orellana left todays game injured so we are in rough shape going into November.

There’s only two games for the rest of 2021 WCQ right? Cuz i read 4-8 weeks and that puts him out for the rest of this year. Vs Jamaica at home and Panama away are the biggest ones

Games are these next two week so he’s done for that. It’s all about recovering him for next year.

    Updated call-up list:

I find it interesting that Nelson Blanco, who plays in USL League One, has been called up. Unsure why Danny Rios and Ronald Arevalo got called up when they’re not getting senior game time with their clubs. Probably should’ve called up Jeremy Garay and Allexon Saravia instead tbh

Christian Sorto has been omitted, likely due to Rio Grande Valley FC progressing to the USL Championship playoffs.

The DC Metro area has the the biggest concentration of Bolivians in the US (Many Salvies too).

It's going to be a very good atmosphere.

    A few notes
    * Kevin Santamaría was called up but sadly he doesn’t have a visa so he won’t be available for the US game sucks for him and Claros that the won’t schedule games outside the US.

Zavaleta was left of as a precaution he will be on the final list for the WCQ.

I understand Claros, but why couldn’t Santamaria get a visa?
