A team playing with a new coach can be a bad sign for their opponent.

As per the Athletic, Charlotte has hired 36-year-old Miguel Ángel Ramírez as their inaugural coach.

If you thought Knighton's brain cramp was bad, wait until you see the highlights from last night's games.

Matt Freese for PHI with a DOGSO red, and Cubo Torres for ATL with a blatant hand ball (YC/PK).

Both games were draws, which is good for the Revs (4 pts up on PHI, 5 on NAS - NAS has game in hand).

There was even one from a world, top-class goalkeeper in the European Cup last week.

I mentioned this in the Dallas game thread, but they continue just sprouting out players. Another 19-year old that might be going to Venezia (Serie A).

Not quite back to normal yet, but a few home games in Canada this month:

CF Montréal and Toronto FC to host select matches in Canada

Vancouver Whitecaps staying in Utah, for now.

No determination on games beyond July yet, so Revs matches at TOR (Aug 14) and MON (Sep 29) still TBD.

Worth noting that Seattle finally lost this weekend, 1-0 to Minnesota. It's a long season, but that does mean for this past weekend anyway that we were able to gain some ground on them.

One could argue that with two less home games compared to SEA, the Revs are even on expected pts.

Revs were atop the Supporters Shield standings for a glorious 24 hours, but Seattle beat Austin (on a Ruidiaz golazo) to regain the lead.

ORL beat PHI, thanks to a goal-line save by RB Kyle Smith (with his face!) in the dying moments. ORL moves up to 2nd in the East, 5 pts back of the Revs.

Chicago starts a teenager in net, against an NYC team that scored 9 goals in its last 2 games. The kid makes 4 saves and earns a shut out in the 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile it appears the Revs aren't bringing anyone in according to Bruce, they've now lost their top player Gil for a bit, are selling Tajon (albeit possibly with a loan-back according to soc med chatter today).

Seems like roster quality is doing a net-negative swing.

Seems like standing pat this year may not be the best approach. But what do I know, I'm just someone posting stuff on BigSoccer.
