Erik Hurtado has been traded to the Columbus Crew.

    Apparently he's a anti-vaxxer.

Crew need a forward with Zardes at the Gold Cup and BWP out hurt. Hurtado will probably start tomorrow if he gets here in time. Sorry Miguel Berry.

Couple of rumors involving Venezia in Italy's Serie A. First is that they are looking to sign Tanner Tessmann on a full transfer. Second is that they are eyeing up the Union's Jack de Vreis on a loan deal. de Vreis has an EU passport so he wouldn't count against their non-EU cap while Tessmann would.

If Carlos Tevez actually ends up in MLS, of the three teams that supposedly have expressed an interest, his likely landing spot in order:

    1) Atlanta
    2) Miami (which would be #1 if they didn't already have 72 DPs)
    3) Minnesota

There is, in my mind, a VERY large gap between 2 and 3.

Rapids are finalizing a deal to sell Sam Vines to Royal Antwerp for somewhere between $1 and $2 million, plus incentives and a sell on clause.

Apparently $4.1 million up front with incentives and a sell-on fee. Can only assume Pepi goes for at least double that if he keeps doing what he is doing this year.

Philly quietly might be the best run organization in the East.

They quietly still have the best CB from the last 5 years (IMO) still on their roster and made money on transfer/trades on the other two.

I would say NYCFC roster wise is the best in the east. After the pomp and circumstance of their first couple of years with Villa, Pirlo, and Lampard they've quietly built one of the best and most balanced rosters in MLS. They're also starting to bear fruit from their Academy and are selling some of the kids now after Claudio let his kid walk for free.

One thing that goes overlooked in MLS, is that many teams still look outward for coaches, and front office personnel. I'm shocked that another MLS team hasn't poached Chris Albright or Pat Noonan from the Union.

We haven't got a striker. Heber is permanently injured, while Medina, Castellanos and Moralez are midfielders. This is why we have a terrible shots to goal ratio.

The new Brazilian looks good so far, and they resigned Castellianos, who is under rated in MLS IMO. He's an agitator, and does whatever it takes to win. Guys like that excel in MLS.

The roster is deep, talented, and can play multiple formations and account for different field dimensions (i.e. Yankee Stadium and RBA).

Castellanos is horrible and the team should have accepted whatever offer made by Palmeiras and run to the bank with the check.

Tweet author is a Colombian journalist. Source has higher veracity but nothing else confirmed as of yet.

    Translation:

There is already an agreement between Millonarios and Los Angeles FC of the MLS for Cristian “Chicho” Arango. In the next few hours its sale will be made official

This does not look like a DP deal - probably some Garberbucks

1 goal every 12 shots is not good enough from Castellanos. Last season he scored 1 goal from every 12.5 shots.

Medina has 1 goal every 4.6 shots and Tajouri-Shradi has 1 goal for every 6.

Wait. What? Is a move to Hibs considered an upgrade from MLS? I seriously would not have thought that.

No, but some people will sign anywhere so they can "play in Europe". And, honestly, Orlando probably has enough depth on the wings that losing him would be better than overpaying him.

Also, in late week rumors you have:

Ryan Gauld is reportedly a done deal to Vancouver. Another attempt at a player from a non-top 3 team in Portugal taken by an MLS team.

An unamed MLS club is supposed to be trying to sign Sebastian Driussi.

LA Galaxy have reportedly reached a deal with Frankfurt for 21 year old Serbian Dejan Joveljic.

Also corroborated by Tannenwald, so safe to say these moves have a pretty good chance of coming through.

Lots of reports from South America involving Austin and Atlanta signing players but nothing from any stateside sources as of yet. Austin is the team rumored to be going after Driussi. Believe he was released by Zenit either yesterday or today so there is at least some possibilities on that one. Atlanta is rumored to be signing 20 year old Argentine Thiago Almeda from Velez. Take Transfermarkt values with a grain of salt but they have him listed as the most valuable player that is playing in that domestic league.

Kind of wonder who the agent is because I would think you would wait until Darryl Dike signed. There have to be teams looking at him.

Is it possible the Almeda deal was in part because of Heinze was the manager of Atlanta United? Seeing as Almada played for him. It's possible the player won't want to come to Atlanta now that Heinze is out.
