I’ve never seen the above picture showing how the soccer field fits inside the baseball field. That’s more ridiculous than I’d imagined!
Aren't there 2 configurations, one even more narrow because they are not allowed to remove the pitcher's mound when the Yankee's are in season? This pic clearly shows the sideline thru the mound so must be other than baseball season.
So Union finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th for regular season. Win and guaranteed second. If they win at the postage stamp then I think they go deep in the playoffs.
The seats they give away fans are comically bad. The players look like ants and the seats don't even face the direction of the field. Imagine you were on the shoulder of the Commodore Barry and had to watch the Union game from the passenger seat of a car. That's what it seems like.
It boggles my mind that in a top flight league, a team is allowed to play on a pitch that is so damn small.
As good as the Union were in the first half, they were equally bad in the second. I'm kind of amazed that NYCFC didn't win despite being down a man.
The code for season ticket holders was "clinched." As in "my rectum was clinched for the last 30 minutes of that game."
Agreed, but they pulled it back together and played a lot better after Aaronson and McGlynn came into the game.
I want to hate Kacper because I feel like he's always playing bad, but I look at the stat sheet and forgot he scored. He somehow does that. He scored like 17 goals in all competitions this year. Mind bending.
Why is that? Is it Curtin being outcoached with halftime adjustments? Or, is the team losing focus (e.g. Monteiro disappeared in the second half)? It’s a frustrating recurring theme. On the positive side, 2nd place and 2 possible home playoff games is a great result.
He also sits second now with 40 goals across all competitions. There’s a good chance he’ll pass Le Toux.
Considering all the east teams except one have been pretty bad on the road I feel like securing home field in the first (and should they advance) second round is as much of an advantage as you can get considering the parody in the east this year.
