Man, it felt so good to be back in TRE again! Been far too long. Strong defensive game from the good guys tonight. Fun atmosphere. Glad I was off today and able to head down early, as the parking is a bit of a cluster. They really need to give the parking attendants a phone to scan the QR codes........The infra-red scanners just don't work all that great in sunlight...... It was also a nice surprise to hear a Union post game show on SiriusXM FC for part of the ride home too!
Anyone else unable to get into Lot A last night? I had a prepaid parking pass, and they wouldn't let me in because they claimed that I was full. I ended up parking on the street and walking through Lot A. There was plenty of space for more cars, but they had half the lot fenced off to park 18 wheelers. Ended up missing the first 10 minutes of the game. Great game last night, but I found this to be really annoying.
Sorry you had to deal with that. I pulled into the lot at 6:35, and it was probably 2/3 full. I guess the Union tried to earn a few dollars during the lockdown by renting 1/2 the lot to trucks. Hopefully, they can reclaim much of the truck parking to avoid the debacle you dealt with.
Had exactly the same experience with Lot A. Emailed my rep this morning and she said they have a plan in place to make sure this doesn't happen again. They also need to reconfigure the entrance to Lot G so that it doesn't back up the traffic coming from the bridge. Took us 25 minutes to get down the ramp and then deal with Lot A. One crap start to what should have been a perfect evening...stellar weather, good match and a deserved result.
They made that offer to me, but I chose to park on the street instead. I would have had to fight traffic to get all the way over there, and since our seats are on the bridge side of the stadium (closer to Lot A), I would have had to walk all the way back around the stadium. Probably would have missed even more of the game had I chosen that option.
Also, does anyone know why they won't let you leave through the gate under the away supporters section after the game, like we used to be able to do? We tried to go out that way but it was closed and they made us walk halfway around the stadium to exit.
