Moriyasu can hopefully appreciate Hatate's defensive talents, at least. That's only one third of the story, but Hatate is useful to any style of play.
To be honest, the players aren't really using the left side to attack. He hasn't had a chance to shoot.
Lol , what on earth are you talking about. Its his 3rd league game and in the last vs the Rangers, he gets 0 chances to score in his 20-30 minutes after a being jet lagged and restless from JNT. Fans, Coach and Media are very happy with his performences till now. He is praised very much. Everything is fine for now.
Yeah it's hard to judge Maeda too much right now, he's barely played, hasn't played a full home game either, and Ange says isn't up to full fitness yet. He was unfortunate today, made a load of good runs but his teammates either ignored him or failed to find him, so glad that he got his goal. Looked much better up front than on the left. Lots more to come from Maeda, 2 goals already is not bad.
A problem with Tokyo Olympics generation's CF like Maeda or Ueda is: they suddenly turn to average or borderline amateur level after their 3rd touch of the ball. I feel like at their younger phase, the coach told them to max out their ability on movements and anticipations around the penalty box and ignore everything else. So when the team is doing well systematically and can manage to provide them decent amount of chances, they will excel. Otherwise, when the team is struggle, don't expect them to do anything on their owns. They're improving in recent 1,2 years though, but far from ideal. In Maeda case, Ange's used to manage him since Marinos's time, and this Celtic team still functions well, so the goals will come. I'm just surprise that Ange started him on the left.
Maeda reduces Bodo's lead to 1-2. Celtic hoping to steal a draw at home. EDIT: nevermind. Bodo score from a deflected long shot. It's over.
They have a ridicolous aggregate of 8 - 3 vs Mourinho's AC Rome (who points to the final victory). Worst opponent in Conferece League for Celtic.
Yeah, they played against possibly the dark horse of the conference league. Could see them making a buzz next year in a higher level European competition, provided they keep their best players that is.
To be honest Celtic is not the best team either. And to think that Bodö lost their 2 best players also.
