The game ended 6-0 and Maeda made a headed assist for the last goal, after accidentally assisting for the fourth (bad touch turned out useful). Ideguchi also played.
Just a friendly, but a very nice goal and a very nice assist (for Maeda) by Hatate against Legia Varsavia
Hatate was also very involved once he came on. Some positive early signs for the Japanese trio. Still no sign of Yosuke, hopefully he gets a look in soon.
Imo this is the best possible UCL group for Kyogo & Co: a top team to faceoff in 2 amazing nights to remember and 2 beatable teams to reach the Final16. I hope all of them will get a big amount of experience that help them to improve. And it's been a while since a Japanese scored in a UCL match. You know the last one played exactly in Celtic so keep the tradition on.
Hatate and Kyogo went out. Massive day for them. Three goals, 2 assists (I think)...and there's time for Maeda to do something, too.
9-0 what a hiding. I saw the game and it looked like a training run for Celtic at Tannadice. Was hoping Maeda would get on the score sheet too. He is doing well setting team mates up with assists though.
The last japanese hattrick in UK were performed by a little dude from kansai. Today another little dude from kansai scored an hattrick in the kingdom of Queen Elisabeth II.
But yes lets start Asano instead who has about 3 goals in the past two years in the Bundesliga or Osako who has 4 goals in the J League all season at the prime age of 32... lol
Absolutely right guys!? Kyogo reminds me of Miroslav Klose. He can do anything. He is fast, skillfull, good at finishing, good at passing, good running ways, and has this goalscoring mind. Totaly crazy player.
Scottish PL isn't that challenging, but it's good Japanese players are opening the gates like this. Hopefully, Celtic will be tied to Japan for a decade, with more players coming. (if the rumors for Morishima are of any value, let's hope he'll sign in January and then maybe loaned for 6 months)
Scottisch PL is not a top league but a solid league and more important....a very hard and physical league. Its not normal, to score as many and as easy as Kyogo does. But of course it helps him that its not a top tier league. It comes not from nowhere, that normaly the forwards not score that big amount of goals in a season.
Daizen Maeda scores his first goal of the season in a cup game against Ross County, restoring Celtic's 2 goal lead.
