It was real but maybe not that close. One of the biggest journalists confirmed that they are talks.

Maeda gives Celtic the lead against Rangers. Kyogo could have been the first scorer, but he was offside by millimeters.

EDIT: Now he scores. Long-range goal.

    This victory is important.

BvB, Atalanta and Leipzig will be tougher challenge, it will be difficult to get some points.
Brugge, Dinamo Z, Young Boys and Aston Villa are average opponents, Celtic need to get as many points as possible.

Maeda scored on an assist from Furuhashi, pre-assisted by Hatate. Genius.

Great game, good for Furuhashi and Maeda that they scored in the Champions League.

Both could score 1-2 goals more but no matter.

By the way it was Furuhashi with the pre assist on Hatate who assisted Maedas goal :).

Aston Villa is maybe the toughest opponent out of those, they are far away from beeing average. Around 200 mio € more worth then Dortmund and Atalanta and 100 mio € more then Leipzig. They are on the way to become a heavy weight + last season they were 5th.

But nontheless, Celtic need as much points as possible and today, they did the right first step.

Incredible game! Huge praise here in Scotland for that performance, Maeda is getting unbelievable praise.. Some fans are pinning him as their favourite celtic player ever for his work rate and running ability, he was incredible. Hatate also a joy to watch, so intelligent. Kyogo didn't have his shooting boots on, but his movement is world class and he terrorised the defenders. One of celtics greatest ever European performances in the last 20 years.

Makes me so happy to read.
Last year I headed to my friends in Brussels downtown straight from my football training, with my Celtic's Nakamura shirt still on, and some Scottish lads arrived and started singing some Celtic chants at my sight, even bought us a round of pints lol.
Incredible what bonds you can make through football. I'd really love to go to Celtic Park.

Kyogo scores for a 1-0 lead against St. Johnstone. Maeda's earlier goal was ruled out because of some foul in the penalty box.

Then he assisted, and scored again!

Good till the 1-1 but then...

Its more about the mentality then the quality, appart from the poor defense. Celtic doesnt fight or do a tactical solid job. Even smaller teams can do a decent jobs against good teams.

But it is, what it is. Deserved till now.

Yeah embarassing is the right word.

Its okay to lose against Dortmund, its okay to lose with a margine by 2, 3 or 4 but not with a attitude like that. But 7 goals, wtf? And why was Hatate not playing from the beginning??

Nevermind, next game. I am sure Maeda and Hatate, maybe Furuhashi too will change team next year.

Maeda would perfectly fit into the Bundesliga. Teams like Frankfurt or Freiburg would a good one.
