I mentioned I've technically been to Beaver Stadium but was too young to remember it. It was that '94 game when Kerry Collins and Ki-Jana Carter dropped 63 points on Ohio State. That Penn State team was loaded.
I remember it well as we were there with family and friends--the tailgate after was a lot of fun too as someone brought steak. Once I moved to Columbus, I did not get to see my brother much except at games. So those family times were priceless--and we have a mutual friend who's almost a brother (who went to DeVry, here, while I was at tOSU) who flew out from the OC and some of his family came as well.
Yep, and that was a solid OSU team that year (and conference). PSU got completely hosed out of the National Championship because Big 10 and Pac 10 weren't in the BCS yet.
There was no BSC in 1994. Osborne got it because "he'd never won one before". And the Big 10 voters by and large didn't vote for their conference. Too bad the BCS wasn't in place. It would have been a great game and I am not sure who would have won.
Sorry... the precursor to the BCS... the Bowl Coalition All the other conferences were part of the coalition and the Orange Bowl was intended to be the 1v2 national championship game, except that a Big10 team was #2.
College football fans tend to think that about their team, but no... Not even close. There's a reason they don't play that preseason game of College All-Stars vs the NFL any more.
Yeah, back then NFL players had offseason jobs and the college stars won sometimes. Now being an NFL player is a year round thing and they wouldn't be surprised.
This is a fact. Even a terrible NFL team would beat Alabama, tOSU, Clemson etc. Maybe not a compete Wipeout but it wouldn't be that close either. Go much beyond those teams and yeah, it would be ugly. Talent or no, you're talking about 26 year old freak athletes vs 19/20 year old kids.
Crew threads are great. I come here to read them because they are so full of wit, humor, insight . . . I'n serious . . . you guys are terrific.
Look, a visitor! And he paid us a compliment. Thank you, good Sir! Now, somebody take away the Malort that Hamburglar gave to him so he can come to his senses!
Is that before or after @kgilbert78 regaled him with the history of a 3rd tier Bundesliga team he watched 60 years ago?

We need to average 2.0 ppg the rest of the season to get to 48. Only one team in the league currently averages 2.0+ ppg and that team is tonight’s opponent, New England. For reference, we average 1.2 ppg currently. Oh yeah, we’ve also played more games than most other teams as well. Close this thread lol.
