There should ALWAYS be 2 to 3 designated PK takers

 

I feel like, more often than not, when a guy takes the ball to take a penalty and doesn't let anyone else take it despite not being the designated taker, they miss and they end up looking like dickheads.

 

Not excusing the lack of having a set PK taker but some coaches feel like the person who wants to take it feels the most confident and thus is the one with the best chance of scoring.

But Salcedo hesitated with his stutter step.
