Three players were selected in Stage One of the Re-Entry Process on Thursday Atlanta United acquired the first overall pick in a trade with FC Cincinnati earlier in the day, then selected Andrew Gutman. Gutman, 24, was on loan with FC Cincinnati from Celtic over the last season and a half. He was an academy product of Chicago Fire FC before eventually signing with Celtic. He made 21 appearances (15 starts) this season and is a left back. LAFC then picked versatile midfielder Raheem Edwards. Edwards, 25, has made 65 MLS appearances since debuting in 2016 with Toronto FC. He has played for Toronto, Montreal, Chicago and Minnesota. Lastly, Sporting KC selected GK Kendall McIntosh. The 26-year-old has been with the Portland Timbers and New York Red Bulls over the last few seasons but has yet to make his MLS debut. Clubs must exercise the option for, or extend a Bona Fide Offer to, all players selected in Stage One and may not select their own draft-eligible players. Players with option years left on their contract will automatically be added to the drafting club's roster. Should a player reject the offer, the drafting club will hold the Right of First Refusal for that player in MLS. Stage Two is Tuesday at 11 am ET. If a player is selected, the drafting club will be required to make a genuine offer to the player within seven days. If an agreement cannot be reached between the drafting club and the player, the drafting club will hold the Right of First Refusal for that player in MLS. LAFC have signed Korean international RB Kim Moon-Hwan from relegated Busan. He's got outstanding ball retention at an MLS standard, with great skill on the dribble and lots of link-up play. But he's not a huge attacker. :
