I hope he'll keep this pace, but it's a massive achievement. Do you remember how many Japanese players have been unfit to play in England? He's having this kind of performance in one of the worst times to wear an Arsenal jersey. Good job by the lad.
Didn't watch Arsenal's yesterday match but according to his statistics on Sofascore.com, it seems he didn't have a good game.
Crystal Palace's hard pressing style got his exposed many times, especially Conor Gallagher who was pressing as he'll However, Tomiyasu might be fatigued due to his involvement in NT matches and the need to travel for long distances. Tomiyasu was involved in Arsenal's first goal which is great. Let's hope he and the team will recover well for next matches.
Every signing Arsenal made this past transfer window has turned out to be incredible. A top 4 finish ins't a dream anymore.
He still struggles against the league's big teams. Hopefully he can learn from this valuable experiences.
His 1-on-1 was still solid. But when the opponents focused on his side with some combinations, he struggled. He needed the helps from his teammates, the connections between them were still lacking. Actually the players in front of Tomiyasu like Saka or Martinelli are all hard working guys and supported him a lot. In my view the problem is the connection between him and the men in the middle: Partey and White, especially Partey. Of all the times that I saw Tomiyasu was in real trouble: when Spurs subbed Bryan Gill in; against Brighton; when Fred pushed up... the gap between Tomiyasu and Partey was obvious but somehow they could not tell each other to close it.
After english media. Tomiyasu was the best player for Arsenal against ManU in a very entertaining game from both sides. They write he was awesome and this was one of his best games. Tomiyasu was injured again during the training, and we don't know yet the date of his return. Hopefully it's not a serious injury or he won't be available for the decisive match against Australia...
