2021/25 Takehiro Tomiyasu @ Arsenal FC (ENG)

Back on the bench today, good to see him back.

 

Yes! Hope he stays fit. By the way, the coach said again, that he and Arsenal want to keep him and he is a safe member of the club. Tomiyasu also said again he want to stay despite the big clubs transfer rumours.

 

It's unfortunate for him that he's prone to injuries. Anyways, good luck to him.

No. He got injured again and its out for at least a month more.

At this rate, I expect him to be released by Arsenal soon. I mean, who would want an injury-prone player in their squad?!

 

Yeah I think so too. Even though everything else tells they really like him. But at some point enough is enough.

 

Crazy, very sad, cause he is such an quality player. At Bologna he wasnt injured that much, wasnt he?

No I cant remember him being injured like this in Italy.

 

Calafiori horrible knee injury could be the right moment for Tomiyasu to come back if he can fit asap.
Anyway I foud some rumors about Napoli interested in him for the winter trasfert. Both Antonio Conte and Napoli could be a good place for him to come back on tracks. Let's see.

 

I think his first task is to being fit for one then one game at the time. This is destroying his career.

 

No idea whether this rumor can be trusted or not, but gosh, Tomiyasu/Machida under Conte sounds like the perfect match for 3-4-3 tactics mastering.

Will Japan ever have those types of defenders again? At the same time tall and fast, powerful and skilled, that can switch in game from center backs to fullbacks... Zaccheroni would have brought us at least to the final 8 with those two.

 

Machida are rumoured to join Napoli?

 

No no, I was just dreaming about this type of defender we have, strong, fast and polyvalent with this kind of 3-4-3 manager.

Machida had offers from Italy this summer but he said the country never really suited japanese players so he might never play there.

 

Dumb idea.
Italian supporters are probably the worst for a japanese player ok but Serie A is the best place for a CB to develop.
Both Yoshida and Tomiyasu had good experiences and, as an asian not a japanese, even Kim did well.

 

Well, Machida shares or shared the locker room with Kamada, Tomiyasu, Yoshida and Nagatomo; I guess he knows what he’s talking about.

Nagatomo said there were no respect in Italy, and that’s for sure. Lovely country, but if you can’t handle some manners with Italians, especially in the south you could quickly feel disrespected.

 

Nagatomo was the scapegoat used by Inter dumb supporters to justify their losing streak after UCL2010. They did thousands of errors but a big bunch of supporters just kept saying it was only Nagatomo's fault is they lost. No sense BS.

Imo if Machida avoid place like Milan (city) he will find only good supporters exactly as Yoshida in Genova, Tomiyasu in Bologna and I add H.Nakata in Rome.

Kamada bad experience was only his fault nothing more.

 

Arsenal having a mini injury crisis, hope after the international break he can contribute more. By the way things look, Arsenal FC is not winning the EPL this season I guess. Perhaps can aim for a FA Cup or Carabao Cup, etc.
