Don't think he was injured or did I miss something ? I think more a cautious scenario ?

It was something, nothing serious maybe. Or else not sexy to be subbed in and subbed out in the same game.

You have good eyes :).They said it was a precautios thing, cause he got a light knock, I read it some minutes ago. Hope it's nothing serious. Looks like he is coming back in good condition.

Mitoma back in the starting line up against Chelsea! With a win over Chelsea, Brighton could jump on place 6, only 5 points behind Liverpool. Could be a real interesting run at the end of the season.

An okey game. Sometimes he looks almost not interested. Sluggish in his style.
Its fine he is very soft and gentle in his playing style. But sometimes its frustrating to look at.

The stadium cheered him when subbed out. I think the season (for him) is done for and he absolutely need to stay healty and avoid any type of injury 3 weeks before the first callups. No joke.

Hmm really ? I would say he was great, maybe even awesome. Almost scored similar volley goal like last week and was almost involved in every attack. 2-3 good chances by himself also, nearly has 1-2 assists also. Almost a perfect game from him and Brighton.

Ratings are also very good, he was the 2nd best player on the pitch after Kadioglu who was obviously MOTM but Mitoma could won this trophy also.

Hmm you mean, that he looks kind of uninterested ?
I think he looks so sharp and dangerous, every time when he has the ball you have the feeling something great happened.
But of course I say last season and seasons before he was better and yes I hope also, that he stay healthy.

Subbed out injured...my god please nothing serious. Somebody watched the game ? Can somebody tell something please ?

Edit: I watched it, he was running/sprinting and hold is leg, looks like a cramp or maybe a hamstring issue. He waved directly in the run, when he feel it, that he needed medical improvement. Hope it's not serious.

Coach said it looked very worse, need to wait for the scans. But a Harmstring injury is 90% likely. The problem is, that in 5 days, you have to announced the final WC Rooster. I would say in Mitomas case, depends of course on the heaviness of the injury, they should call him up. My prediction is, he will be out over 4-5 week. Not optimal but I think its not to bad.

2 weeks ago, I would say everything looks good but lose Yuito Suzuki + Mitoma is hard. Japan still have enough player to field a good team but almost no nation can easily replace a player from a calibre of a Mitoma.

With Kubo, J.Ito, Doan and Nakamura we still have great wingers but Mitoma is our best and unpredictable player.

It's better if I shut up.
With Germany in 2022 we won fielding Mitoma + Minamino + J.Ito + Doan + Asano at the same feckin time. They all take part in the equalizer action. W/o even 1 of them no equalize > no Asano's goal > no KO stage.

Tomorrow we will know more. Moriyasu contact Brighton today to ask coach and staff if there are any updates. They said not now.

I have a very bad feeling, I guess he will be out for 2-3 month.

Maybe they are taking their time to be certain of Mitoma's condition and that we'll just find out on Friday when Moriyasu announces the squad

This is only what all suggest but nothing is decided, that's what I mean. There is many steps between be fit in time or out for the WC.

For example another article said it's likely he will recover cause you could see the medical staff stretch his leg in 70 % degrees with could mean he only has a injury type 1 which means he could recover in 1-3 weeks cause otherwise those stretch wouldn't be possible normally.

Those articles all are only imaginations and at the end bullshit till we have a exact scan and a official diagnosis. That's why I am so confused, cause normally it don't take 4 days to make a decision.

Theres no way it can be a grade 3 tear with the way he walked off, at most surely 6 weeks and with a long world Cup he has to be in the squad
