Keito Nakamura signs a 3-years contract with Austrian top division club LASK Linz.

Nakamura joins LASK permanently from Gamba Osaka, with the contract set to end in June 2024.

Nakamura has been loaned out to FC Juniors OÖ (a club affiliated to LASK Linz) in the Austrian second division last winter, and according to LASK's statement he can play for both LASK and FC Juniors depending on the circumstances.

    Well, it's a restart I guess...
He shouldn't have problems in the second division, the jump to LASK (and possibly further) is just a matter of mentality which he hasn't had.

The talent is there. I just hope this move will give him responsibility and awareness of where he currently is.

He is still 21. Some Japanese players who choose to pursue University degree don't start their professional career until they are 21, 22, or even 23 in some cases.

So, obviously he is not to be written off yet.

Very happy for him. Difficult 12-24 months, wouldn’t have blamed him if he returned to J-League.

I forgot how young he was when he debuted for Gamba. Same age as Tani and Seko etc.

Nakamura scored in LASK's 2-0 win vs Altach today. The club staying within the top 2 among 6 spots in the Austrian league relegation round to close off the season

Scored a goal, LASK top of the league for now.
If he can keep this form for the entire season, maybe he can move to Bundesliga next season.

Scored again. He is in incredible Form. Maybe the best player at the moment in the Austria Bundesliga.

10 games - 8 goals, 5 assists. In this form defitinely a serious option for the World Cup.

He is absolutely killing it, defs been the best in the Austrian bundesliga at the moment. Some great players have come out of that league more so from Salzburg; Haaland, Minamino, Mane etc…. Hopefully can follow in there footsteps. Even Minamino didn’t get anywhere near those numbers at this point of the season.

Scored again. What a machine. 14 games, 10 goals, 5 assists now. Should be a big option for the WC.

Liverpool, Brighton and Eindhoven have big interests into Nakamura. After sources, they whole season, they send scouts to austria to watch him and they are very excited. They said, he is very similiar to Mitoma.

Dont know how good he really is but almost the whole austria league is telling, he is the best player there.

Still think he should grow up slowly, he is a huge talent but he need a team where he can play regular.

Brighton or any mid table team in the PL would be a good choice.

Liverpool this early would be a slow career suicide. PSV or a mid-table German club would be best.
