✅ @taichigrant14 firma por el Deportivo Alavés hasta 2023 🤝Ongi etorri, Taichi Hara ❗️#GoazenGlorioso 🦊— Deportivo Alavés (@Alaves) June 24, 2021 Will probably go out on loan. If he does, then he really needs to impress because his contract is only 2 years.
They are a first division side though they almost got relegated. Also Alaves own 85% of the club so it’s not surprising he went there. https://www.deportivoalaves.com/noticia/baskonia-alaves-group-gets-hold-of-the-nk-istra-1961
People can say what they want want about the Croatian league but damn impressive Hara adjusted well to a new environment in such a short time. Scored some important goals against the bigger clubs, played in the domestic cup final and saved the club from near certain relegation.
According to Spanish media, Alaves will decide if Hara will stay or go out on loan after the pre-season. Btw, Dinamo Zagreb were trying to buy him too. It's safe to say he made an impact in Croatia.
If it's just for six months or one year and they're very committed to European football, more Japanese footballers should try this way.
Exactly. Especially with players in similar situations to Hara's. Hara had nothing to lose when he left Japan, as he was a fringe player and a rarely-used sub at FC Tokyo.

Alaves intended to loan him anyway. Some news hinted at a loan back to Istra in Croatia. This is being said, loaning him to STVV in Belgium is better.
