I am not sure if this move is an upgrade for him.

 

Fenerbahce and Santa Clara failed to reach agreement over the transfer of Morita.

 

It seems the team have a promising project.

They brought Mesut Ozil, and their new head coach Vitor Pereira had won league titles while coaching at Porto, Olympiacos, and Shanghai.

He brought South Korea CB Kim Min-jae, and Denmark CB Mathias Jorgensen. He is also looking to bring other players from Portugal in addition to Morita.

It might be a downgrade in terms of the league level, but the top Turkish teams are very competitive, and if they are well-built they can reach advanced stages in European competitions.

So, clearly Fenerbahce is better than Santa Clara, and Morita can play with them either in the UCL or EL.

However, as mentioned above, Fenerbahce and Santa Clara failed to reach an agreement.

 

According to A BOLA, Porto are after Morita.

 

Porto of all clubs? Hopefully it doesn't turn to "Nakajima 2.0" all over again.

Really good choice for everyone involved:
- Santa Clara get 18 months of a decent striker.
- Tagawa was closed at FC Tokyo and the club didn't really exploit his potential.
