2021 / 2022 All Rocks Intent to Continue

Hi guys.

I didn’t really keep up with the season as it went on last year. A first for me and I’m disappointed in myself for that.

I would like to rejoin and redouble my efforts but the start date is not good at all for me. I’m usually good with keeping the draft moving but my wife turns 40 this year on 5th August. We’re doing a big family getaway from 27th to 29th July and then we leave with just the four of us on the 3rd August and don’t return until the 11th.

Normally I can make time and sneak on here and there but it’s a special birthday and I really don’t know how I’d pull it out of the bag without crippling the pace of the draft or the whole thing in its entirety.

 

It sounds like a July 30th - Aug 2nd'ish draft for VSR, I'm sure they'll make that work if able. I will offer myself as a proxy or finish it off for you should you want/need.

I'd also be happy to help you in any way you'd like with later round picks. Not ideal, but perhaps you can sketch out some lists of players you want? Alternatively, I may be able to find someone who could actually draft the later rounds for you if not finished. He has no interest or time for managing a full season but could probably be pulled in for a few days of late round drafting.

Do we have the eight managers needed for the Sand league? It looks like seven sand managers are listed in the league on the EPL site but we would need eight.

Im guessing hal is setting up the spreadsheets for sand again? What time frame are we looking at this time for the draft?

 

@blech said he may have someone that can help with the draft. To be honest guys I'm going to need that. I will, hand on heart, manage the team to the best of my ability (not great I know) but there is just no way in the world I am going to be able to dedicate time to the actual draft this season.

My job is running beyond maximum. I'm organising all sorts of stuff for my wife's 40th birthday. We're in the middle of a major house extension which our neighbour is now being a complete arse about (halfway through!!) which has me liaising with my architect, the council planning department, our builders and structural engineers!

In short, as mentioned above, I'm going to delay the draft massively if I do it. If someone can get a team drafted for me I will then be able to run it throughout the season happily as long as that is acceptable but, unfortunately, it's the only scenario that is going to work for me at this time I'm afraid to say.

 

I'm checking. Hope to be able to report back by the end of the day and that there is a way to make this work, as it would be great to keep you in and it could potentially cause a shuffle in the divisions if we can't sort it (which would require that coin flip to resolve who was 3a and 3b in Sand last season..... )

If anyone else has any ideas for someone who might actually draft for frasermc (as opposed to carrying out proxies) and then turning over the team to him, feel free to chime in.

 

I can also pick anyone who has ever at least connected flights in Scotland.

 

FYI, my guy can't do it. I think it's potentially a little weird for someone to be drafting teams in two different leagues if he's not providing directions/proxies. Especially if VSR goes first, your preferences will be known to all in Sand. But your call.
