No. Our Panama game on Monday will be our last game of 2020.

Berhalter still plans on hosting a January Camp, and then we'll have a full team friendly camp in March

After that it looks like Nations League in June, Gold Cup in July, and then qualifiers in September

Now, I'm conflicted. I feel on principle I should withdraw my rep for your prior, errant post, but I'm feeling charitable today, so you're in luck.

Do I understand this correctly that in June the USMNT will have four World Cup qualifiers plus the Nations League semifinal and, potentially, the final?

No, the initial plan was Nations League in March with four qualifiers in June.

COVID pushed back the start of the early qualifying rounds in CONCACAF though which pushed Nations League to June and qualifiers to probably September (though that's not yet official)

Do we know yet if the Dec match will mean no Jan camp?

Seems we will get both. Just basing off ussoccer seeming aggressive to schedule games

The match will be in Ft. Lauderdale:
    https://www.elsalvador.com/deportes...-stadium-fort-lauderdale-florida/777674/2020/

    The big question is:
Is this even relevant news though (ie will anybody be able to attend)?

I think Inter Miami was allowing no more than 20% capacity:
    https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/mls/inter-miami/article246604663.html

Will US Soccer allow (up to) 3600 fans to attend?

    Random other detail:
Since the match will be outside of FIFA release dates, clubs in El Salvador are (obviously) not happy and have not yet come to an agreement about releasing players:

    (Apologies for the double post)

The only rumour so far is that Guatemala had been invited to play a friendly in the USA in January.
    https://lared.com.gt/la-seleccion-de-guatemala-negocia-el-primer-partido-amistoso-del-2021/

Why do I think they were invited to play by the USMNT?

    Well:
-With stadiums at operating at under 20% capacity, there isn't much of a financial incentive for them to play outside of Guatemala right now. In normal times a friendly against any opponent could be in the works in the USA, but in COVID times a friendly against another team on "neutral" US soil makes far less sense.

-The article also implies that they were not the primary organizer, as they were "invited to play" , making it seem even more likely this isn't two teams meeting in the USA on "neutral" US soil for convenience. For reasons stated above, they certainly weren't invited by a match promoter in these COVID times!

-The USMNT hasn't played Guatemala since late March 2016. It will have been almost 5 years since both teams faced each other by January 2021

-The USMNT wasn't drawn into the group that Guatemala might play in in the Gold Cup 2021
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_CONCACAF_Gold_Cup
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_CONCACAF_Gold_Cup_qualification

-The USMNT won't (potentially) meet Guatemala until Match Day #5 of the OCTO (if Guatemala even qualifies)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_–_CONCACAF_Third_Round

-In terms of other January 2021 friendly rumours, Canada is looking to play Panama down in Panama.
(+ why would the USA host either team when the USMNT just played Panama and the USMNT played Canada twice last year and will play them again at the 2021 Gold Cup?) So that rules out those two teams, and how many others are looking to play in January, in the USA, in these COVID times?

Assuming the camp starts on Dec3? Means we can choose from all but 4 MLS teams.

Philly (Aaronson, McKenzie), NYCFC (Parks) and Orlando (Mueller, Dike) are destined to play before then, so at least two will be there. Likewise, only one of Portland (Ebo, Williamson), Seattle (Morris) and Dallas (Several) can still be in at that Portland.

Toronto (Akinola, Jozy) and the RB (Clark, Duncan) are in the same bracket. Colorado and KC as well.

Can we rotate players, or must we start the same eleven three matches running?

With the tight travel schedules, I have to guess the home games will be primarily in eastern/southern US cities. Both for getting to/from these away matches and to/from Europe. Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, Kansas City?

If we can bring in snow machines, I see no objection.

More confirmation that Guatemala have been invited by U.S. Soccer to be the opponent for "Camp Cupcake 2021" but it looks like Guatemala may have other options.
    https://www.guatemala.com/deportes/...eleccion-guatemala-fecha-fifa-enero-2021.html
(There are some weird things in that article though)
Doesn't look like anything has been signed.

If Japan is one of (Guatemala's) options, that could mean they are planning a camp for their domestic players before the start of the J-League, so Japan could perhaps be an option for the USMNT too.

I’m so behind now. The qualifying will be a group of eight (14 matches) with top 3 1/2 advancing?
