Also seems like the idea to get Erik Lopez up to the first team has hit a wall. Sort of think that MLS said that if you put him on the first team now he won't fit into the new U-22 rule for next year. Could be wrong on that though.
Atlanta has announced the singing of Marcelino Moreno, and also says Cubo Torres is done for the year due to a knee injury.
Meh, Torres hadn't scored and was essentially a non factor. He played like a man who was available on a free. At this point it's all about 2021. Much like all of life.

As Mitrita is on family leave I'm hoping NYC will sign Wellbeck or Sturridge on a short-term contract.
I'm not sure in this current market. 6 million plus 3 million in incentives and a 10 to 20% sell on fee might be a good deal in this market. Plus, he is American. Unfortunately, that still drags down prices on MLS domestic players. And, honestly, the Union needed to move him on. I know that sounds crazy but they have Fontana (a year older than Aaronson) and several players a year or two younger that they need to start getting into the first team. They are deep at midfield with young kids that may be ready for first team minutes. If Aaronson goes to Salzburg and kills it and proves to be a 15 to 20 million dollar player, then the group they have behind him (including his brother) go for several million more. Overall I think MLS is in a spot right now that they need to move on players that will help push the future market values of players up. If Aaronson, Davies, and Adams show really well and the academy graduates like Reyna and Richards do as well, then prices for domestic MLS players go up. The league is still looked at as below Red Bull Salzburg but slightly above the rest of the Austrian league (only one player since 17/18 has been sold by an Austrian team not named RBS for more than Aaronson). A few sales that show players can be as good as what comes out of RBS and the overall price tag of the league jumps up and the next Aaronson is a 10 million dollar player.
Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but I would have thought Aaronson would be worth a bigger fraction of what Davies got or more clearly valuable than Steffen. Or maybe worth 25% of Pulisic.
