My city (austin, tx) officially went on lockdown yesterday. I made sure to head to the liquor and grocery stores to stock up. Might have spent a couple hundred on whiskey... but hey, I am trapped in my home till april 13th and unemployed. Time to live the slum lifestyle.
I looked at my new beard yesterday and thought hmmm... not bad, not bad at all, I'm going with it! Then I looked more closely and realized I have a big patch missing on my left side due to radiation treatment I got in 2013 (all is good now). I went from excited to pissed in just a few seconds.
I'm stocked on liquor but today I was dreading going to the grocery store because I'm an old fart that has to be really careful of this virus. My local grocery stores' online delivery and online order & pickup time slots are completely booked up for the next week so that wasn't an option. But then I remembered Instacart and gave it a try - all my groceries delivered to my door within about 4 hours! I'll take good news wherever I can find it.
I got a small bare spot on my left stache... Hoping i can grow out my whiskers long enough to do a combover...
All the hair on the top of my head is migrating elsewhere - so I can grow a nice thick beard if I so desire.....
Really? Had a full beard since 1977 never noticed a itch. The bad news unless you are going for the wild man or traditional orthodox look, you will probably still need to shave and groom daily. Also as you age it will probably turn gray long before the hair on your head. The good news is it softens with time and the ladies don't complain about irritating stubble.
I grew a beard in 2007 or so, because of the show LOST of all things. But also because it became obvious I was going to be bald before 30.
Luckily AJ was able to have kids again. Kept this tucked in the archives... for when I needed a good laugh. 🤦🏾♂️😳😂 pic.twitter.com/52McijhSJD— AJ DeLaGarza (@AJD_20) March 28, 2020
Anyone know where I can watch the Beckham effect legally preferably? Fox isn't making this easy to view. Also I guess is it even worth watching? I've seen some reddit comments saying it was really good and even though they knew Beckham was a big name, he did a lot more for the league than meets the eye.
From Keano: "Even from an ocean away, Robbie Keane is still thinking of the LA Galaxy. Keane, who spent 2011-16 as a Galaxy forward, recently shared a message of support on Twitter for his old club. He urged supporters to stay home and do their part as we all work towards limiting COVID-19’s spread. “I just want to send you a message all the way from Ireland to tell you that I’m thinking about you at this difficult time,” Keane, a former Galaxy captain, said. “Please stay safe and stay home. Even apart we stand together. I cannot wait to visit you guys very, very soon. Please take care of yourself. God bless.”
It was on DirecTV recently, not sure where else. I DVR'd it I remember it so well I'm not sure I want to watch it again. I thought at the time that MLS really blew an opportunity to make a great first impression on new viewers. I think many potential new fans watched the beginning of his first game but the product wasn't that great. The first season he played we had some weak ass players - trapping the ball was a challenge for a couple of them, iirc.
Wasn't that the playoffs when SJ came to the Home Depot Center, and scored a late goal to win 1-0 (which I distinctly remember from the stands), then also scored early in the return game in SJ to take a 2-0 series lead. And then some guys named Robbie and Mike and Landon decided to.... well... just watch the replay if you can't remember what happened next.
