This has been the consistent line from the league. Plan is to play games in home markets, with possibility of fans at some point in certain cities.Biggest outstanding question seems to be the plan for the Canadian teams if, like the Blue Jays, they're not allowed to host games. https://t.co/ijL39V6Nq4— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) July 23, 2020
Actually, I doubt this will be the gist of what Padráig talks about tonight. Most likely he'll talk a lot about what's next for the Rapids, including the prospects of a continued MLS season.
Agree. The biggest issue with the Rapids at this time is defending well enough so that they don't need to score at 2 or more goals to win a match. They haven't kept many clean sheets in the Fraser era. The question for me, is whether this is a personnel issue or a tactical/philosophical problem? Or both? Last night, Vines really struggled in the defensive half. But in other matches it's been other players/issues. To be above .500, they have to correct this issue.
3 - @Jon_lewis710 has scored 3 goals as a substitute this season. The last @ColoradoRapids player to score more than 3 goals off the bench in a single @MLS season was Jeff Cunningham (5) in 2005. The Canadian decision was not exclusive to MLB it applies to all sports and why NHL teams all went to bubble up/ play in Canada. They don't want teams/ people from outside of Canada traveling into Canada.
The Athletic has a story about MLS's plans for the rest of the season in home markets: 6 games between Aug 22nd and Sept 13th, Canadian teams would only play each other in Canada 12 games between Sept 16th and Nov 8th, with the hope that teams will be able to cross the border by then Dallas and Nashville will play 3 extra games against each other to make up for the ones they missed in Orlando All games outside of those 3 and the Canadian matchups would be intraconference Top 9 teams from each conference would qualify for an 18 team single-elimination playoff with MLS Cup on Dec 12th https://theathletic.com/1950606/2020/07/24/mls-regular-season-2020-return-plan/
Questions - 1. Will MLS allow/encourage charter flights? 2. Will there be an attempt to create a "bubble" for the teams when traveling? 3. In an attempt to minimize travel could teams play a Wednesday - Saturday road trip at two venues that are relatively close, say Portland and Seattle? 4. It seems likely that MLS will continue to allow 5 subs given fixture congestion, yes? Has MLS looked at the protocols enacted by the Premier league, etc., that seem to be working?
The Colorado Rapids had high hopes when they departed for Orlando. In the few weeks since, their momentum has been crushed, leaving behind more questions than answers. https://t.co/I6rYx9IMbW by @Shapalicious— Denver Post Rapids (@rapidsnews) July 25, 2020

So I assume everyone is back from Orlando and training but what Covid 19 procedures going forward (?) do they maintain a team 'bubble' or live out in the world and try to do their best to avoid exposure? Would assume they have much better testing regimes than most workplaces at minimum?
Yes, I believe is the answer to this. I'm fairly certain that the players, coaches, and staff are at their respective homes. So cross your fingers.
Yeah. I hope the teams do better than MLB has done. Has MLS announced the plans for the resumption of the schedule? The schedule on the MLS site doesn't seem to have games beyond the MLS is back tourney.
In watching the other clubs in MLS is Back, many may have concluded that the Rapids may have more holes than initially thought. https://t.co/9H6ksH6eUZ— Denver Post Rapids (@rapidsnews) August 4, 2020
