Scathing toward MLS owners. And probably right on. Seems like owners are missing a huge opportunity to keep their bank accounts as full as possible.

"Kamani Kill (2021-2014)", time traveling wing/assassin from the hit series "Matador, Part Two" is pretty cool but you may want to fix that typo.

My cousin was in Oahu and saw him at a restaurant there. At least, pretty sure it was him. She didn't remember his name but during the meal learned he was with the Rapids since they are from CO and we kind of narrowed it down and she chose him from a photo lineup.

Thinking of it, Tony Bravo's career would probably look a lot more like Hill's than the one depicted in the series. Pretty hard to play pro soccer as your side job.

 

Can confirm the @MLSPA was informed that @MLS has pushed back its ultimatum from tomorrow 12PM EST to Wednesday 12PM EST.

The owners are revising their current proposal.

This article makes it seem as if there could be an agreement on the CBA today.

People in the comments in that Athletic article linked above are saying the players got a bad deal. I'm still amazed their salaries are only being cut 8.75% this season.

How many games will be played in front of fans this season, if any? How many games period will be played? Revenue is going to be way down.

 

While things were very intense over the last few days, there has been a major breakthrough between the @MLSPA and @MLS league office. “Cautiously optimistic” as 1 more detail is being discussed and pending the new agreement/CBA being ratified, a lockout should be avoided.

Reporting with @samstejskal: MLS players are set to vote on the league's latest proposal tonight and into tomorrow morning. The MLSPA will respond accordingly after the vote closes tomorrow, per sources.

Have to disagree and say it should be Jermaine Jones for his overall impact on the team when he played. Small sample size with injuries etc. so far as statistics but the definition of a 'difference maker' or 'impact player'.

 

9 regular season games and 4 playoff appearances, in a team that didn't win any trophy, isn't enough to overcome what Harris did over multiple seasons. Jones might be a better choice than Vines for runner-up, but not to displaces a player in the top 10 in multiple team records.

Completely agree. In addition to my subscription I gave one to my 15 yr old son who loves the writing.

With some of the CBA stuff, I have hard time making sense of the details. Hopefully someone else will give their 2 cents worth.

I wonder how long before MLS and ESPN make an official announcement? And I am eager to see the schedule.

I've posted a hightlight video of Omar's 2010 goals several times...now I can't find it on youtube. I don't know what happened that season but he was on fire.

Here's some slightly older highlights:

 

He's was even better than I remember. Seriously. His assists were as impressive as his goals.

Sometime in 2009 I remember thinking that the C & C connection was the best forward duo in MLS and of course the same in 2010.

 

I hope we get 2x games (home & home) to decide the RMC.

 

They were a great complementary pairing. They were really fun.

 

Loved the C & C connection. Great to see Cummings goals, and assists again as well.

Looks like the NBA's starts in Orlando July 31.
