was surprised at the news the other day that Gimenez was getting a national team call-up given Argentina's pool of players, but looked it up and he just got clearance to play for Paraguay
https://www.chicagofirefc.com/post/...c-exercise-2021-contract-options-four-players Michael Azira and CJ Sapong will not be re-signing, they are free agents. Jeremiah Gutjahr and Connor Sparrow have had their options declined. Djordje Mihailovic, Wyatt Omsberg, Nick Slonina, and the mad lad himself Elliot Collier have had their options picked up for next season. The current roster from the article:
Thank god they picked up Collier's option. I don't know how they would win next year without him on the roster. At least they are in discussions with future captain Brandt "Bronibro" Bronico about his future with the club.
Bronico is better than Collier by a lot and I would rather have had him in up top out of position than Collier stumbling around the field
Johan Kappelhof is the Danny Trevathan of this team. If we'd had a Khalil Mack, I might have paid more attention.
a shame for us, probably good for him. I get a sad for quality, seemingly dutiful, players who get stuck in the churn of sub-mediocrity we've become.
