I'll take: "Things I'll Never See Again for $1000, Alex." **Prepares to see this same exact situation on Sunday.**
LAFC gives up a goal, marches down the field, and gets a PK. 1-1 in an instant, except Vela has a weak penalty. Madness if you had told me that would happen. Is it just me, or is this a wild post season? #2020
I second that. A lot of takers either go down the middle, stutter-step, or wait for the keeper to move & try to go the other way. Left side & right side are the other options. But staying put helps if the taker does any of the first three. In my view, it is the smartest play, unless you have a strong read on the taker.
Garber's head is exploding. Both LA and NY teams out. Atlanta, out. Portland, out. He's probably putting all his bets on a Seattle-Orlando MLS Cup so let's give him a HSG original, Dallas-Columbus instead.
I was too young to watch Pele in anything but the NASL. Though I think he is head and shoulders the GOAT. But Maradona, Messi, Zidane, fat Ronaldo, and Ronaldo are the best offensive players I have ever seen. Apologies to Puskas, Di Stefano, and Eusebio, who were before my time. Passing of a legend, for sure.
Watching ORL/Revs, ORL player quite clearly spikes hell out of NE guy, and rightly gets a red. Same old shit - Nani and Urso in refs face, screaming, Nani grabs ref 3 or 4 times, chasing him around the field. He does eventually get a yellow, deserves a red and his teammates get nothing. What is it with these guys?
And the same thing was by every Orlando player after a weak foul on their goalie. The ref responds with no cards and gifts them a PK moments later, which was completely a dive. Orlando is far and away my most disliked team in the league.
Agreed. Bruce Arena, while a great manager (recent USMNT failings aside), is possibly the biggest schmuck in all of soccer. And that is saying something. And yet, after watching ORL for 15 minutes, I find myself actively rooting for NE.
3-1 Revs. Beating Phily & ORL, on short rest, after the play-in game, is impressive. Turner is fantastic. Gil. Our record in the ECF vs Arena (0-3) and NE (0-1) is not exactly stellar. 1st thing first: Nashville.
On paper: NYRB, Nashville, and NE ain't exactly murderers row standing in our way to the Finals. Aside from the COVID stuff, we could not ask for a better setup. #6, #7, and #8.
I was rooting for Orlando to win when that match started. By the end, I was glad New England was rolling them.
