I have to say that the lady who has contacted me a few times this year and last year for DCU tickets has been a nice person, very professional and understanding. But yeah, I got that impression too about the Loundoun Utd ticket rep.
Anyone else remember when NBC launched their coverage of the Premier League and they provided every match if you had NBCSN in your cable package? This weekend they'll show 2 matches on NBCSN and the rest on Peacock. Outrageous.
My DCU rep is also very knowledgeable, nice and personable. But the back office is just as competent as always*. I have been a season ticket holder for 25 years and had in-depth discussion with the team not long ago about rolling over my plan for one or two more seasons. And yet, just today I received an email announcing that tickets are available for 2021 and inviting me to become a season ticket member. sheesh..... *meaning after the S. Zack/Fred Matthes days....
Xfinity and Cox cable subscribers can get it free. Unfortunately i have FiOS so its illegal streams again, ftw.
Welcome @AdrianHealey, #AustinFC’s English language play-by-play commentator and Executive Director of Broadcast and Content, starting in 2021. pic.twitter.com/yQZShCMbx6— Austin FC (@AustinFC) September 16, 2020 That escalated quickly
There were times I did not agree with S. Zack/Fred Matthes but I ALWAYS knew they cared about me and the club.
Wow! Amazing! Unthinkable! They had the innovative thought to put the ENTIRE roof on before opening day....
Some people still believe the Bridgeview*, San Jose and DC canopies are incomplete... *that's not even a used venue anymore...
https://www.mlssoccer.com/standings I haven't really been following much lately... does this mean 10 teams in the East and 8 in the West will make it to the playoffs? 18 teams out of 26? Isn't that too many?
Back from Segra Field, again. Very good game for Loundoun Utd, unfortunately lost in the last minutes of the game (0-1), they would have deserved to tie the game but Pittsburgh is a very good and cynical team. On the stands also some 30-40 supporters from the Steel Army of the Riverhounds.

I didn't realize what's happening to Canadian teams... Montreal is playing its home games at Red Bull Arena, Toronto in East Hartford CT at the Rentscher Field, Vancouver at Providence Park in Portland... They play at their real home stadia only if against other Canadian teams. Is this happening in other sports too at the moment? I understand borders are closed between the two countries, but don't these 3 teams still have to travel to the US and back each time? These are work reasons, not tourism, technically they should be allowed back and forth (both the US teams and the Canadian ones), so why play in the US?
Yes but Buffalo is around the corner... it's a little different. And how do they do that? Travel to Buffalo and then back to Toronto?
They are technically allowed to go back but I believe Canada requires a 14-day quarantine when entering the country (and the teams were not able to garner any concessions from the gubmint), so it would be nigh on impossible for the teams from the 51st state to have any reasonable schedule if crossing the border on a "regular" basis.
As far as I know the Blue Jays players aren't being allowed back into Toronto at all right now due to the quarantine restrictions. Their "home" is Buffalo til the season ends.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...g-matches-because-positive-coronavirus-tests/ Really bad news, I was hoping to go at least to the very last game.
https://video.repubblica.it/ilmeteo...68553?ref=RHPPTP-BS-I257387636-C12-P4-S3.3-T1 Sour debut for Gonzalo Higuain last night, he skyrocketed a penalty kick and almost went into a fight with some Philly players (it looks like he was provoked, but I don't know what happened before), risking a red card. I don't know why this guy is always so nervous, I have seen this going on with him many times at both Juve and Milan.
It looked like he was embarrassed and got caught up in his feelings when Philly players celebrated a little too vociferously after his miss. One Philly player leaped and punched the sky right next to him after, so Philly showed no class at all. I don't really blame him, that kind of stuff always got under my skin as well.
Philly teams always represent the quality of people in their city. It is kind of a point of pride to be that big of an ass.
