Every team should have an emoji. There would be several in competition for the yawn. I think we are a lock for the facepalm, though.

I'm originally from St. Louis and that river ain't blue. Its called the Muddy Mississippi for a reason. Wtf is "energy yellow". Provel off-white is more appropriate.

Great news, everyone! In 2.5 years, the starting right winger for NYCFC will be available at DC wages!

Five MLS games postponed tonight. Along with all three NBA games and some MLB games.

Is it supposed to be a secret why? Or are you purposely not saying?

That WaPo tweet is NOT why the games were postponed.

Either Jay is ignorant of the real reason, trolling by putting that tweet down, or some unholy combination of both.

    That's super helpful. o_O

The games last night weren't played because of team protests - refusing to play - that started in the NBA bubble over the Jacob Blake shooting. There's some parallelism to that tweet, in that there were some MLS teams that didn't feel compelled to jump on this particular train as of gametime. I guess there was enough confusion about it in the end that (after the start of the Orlando game) the league decided to just shut down the rest of the games.

I didn't know this was a thing until I tried to tune in to watch FCD. It's not like any major media outlet was paying attention to what was going on in MLS. Good on the league, I guess...?

A friend of mine who is in London these days sent me a picture from Carnaby Street, where an Inter Miami store is being set. Talk about marketing.

If you are silent about why things were postponed, perhaps you are part of the problem. If you don’t wish to discuss why games are being postponed, perhaps don’t bother posting about the postponement at all.

    Thx,

    Jay!

I was referring to the actions of the people in the video, not your posting it. Sorry that wasn't clear, forgive me!

Maybe, just maybe, this is a watershed moment. I remember as a kid in the '60's, how African-American baseball players hemmed and hawed around civil rights issues, because it wasn't "sports." In the past few days, there seems to be an awakening. Coach K at Duke spoke at a rally and said his players had all registered to vote. He said he thought things were going the right way in the '60's and saw everything go wrong. He wanted it right now. Double chinned fat ********s like Deloy Hansen can cash out and go live on an island somewhere. The world is changing. When a black man is shot 7 times in the back, you can't just say everything's normal. For 3 years, folks in Northern Virginia have been trying to figure out why the Park Police killed an unarmed guy who was the victim of a rear end accident. You read in the Post about the culture that malevolent punk created at the Washington Football Team and you just say it must stop and stop now. I know this is a rant, but I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Lot of curiosity (and some surprise) in Italy for Weston McKennie to Juve, it's almost official now (he passed medicals today)

Would I be right to suppose Italian Juve fans are singularly unimpressed with this acquisition? :D
