This is because Covid 19 like the modern game of football got a head start in Europe. After a while nations in the Americas became dominant in football and that is probably destined to happen with Covid 19 also.
almost put this in the media thread, it's a damn fine example ... but ultimately it is about another team(s). Decided to post the retweet instead of the original .... for old time's sake, back in the better years. THIS is how to announce a new logo / crest ! Checkout @footballiceland 's launch of their new crest with an epic video rollout ... 🇮🇸 ⚽️ https://t.co/ajXt4scOGb— Fred Matthes (@FredMatthes) July 1, 2020 edit: On the other hand, I cannot seem to watch it on BS from the retweet, so here's the original for you as well. 1278347367268470790 is not a valid tweet id
Wayne Rooney and Derby County are only 1 point out of a playoff spot with 6 Championship fixtures left to play. An automatic promotion spot is likely out of reach, as they will likely be 14 points back of West Brom after today's play is over, but it'd be something if Wayne can drag Derby back into the Premier League.
In case you wish to watch some entertaining football, Atalanta is probably the answer right now, since the restart 12 points in 4 games with 12 goals scored (82 in 29 games)... For them it looks like the forced covid stop never happened.
Second Division Heidenheim at home today against Werder Bremen. If Heidenheim wins, it will be their first time ever in the First Division.
I think he means Heidenheim lost to Werder Bremen. Not a bad game, Heidenheim gave up on own goal early, tied it late (but Bremen was through on away goals) and then Bremen iced it in injury time.
Oh, that's right, we traded Owen G just about 2 years ago; my how time flies. Glad to see he landed somewhere...
USL restarted tonight with some sort of mini season, watching now the replay of TB Rowdies-Atlanta 2, and they play in front of 150 fans (SG for the major part), is that bcs it's Florida or is USL's decison to allow the crowds? I'd go for the first one but I wanted to see if anybody knows better... Theo
LAFC vs Houston: good to see some scoring in these games, but both defenses really lose their focus a lot
Really glad we've already played Toronto and that we escaped with a Tie. They can be lethally hot. And then they do something stupid on defense.
I just think defenses take more time to get cohesive. Most MLS teams play a run fast kick hard offense that will put hustle you. That can gel more quickly. Teams that have more timing and precise passing will find offense more difficult in the near term.
Great article in the Post today about the pointy ball team. Snyder appears to be Trump's mini-me, making his marketing guy do cartwheels in a meeting to show off his cheerleader skills. Also explains why Michael and the others abruptly were fired or "retired." Maybe the new name should be "Washington Predators." What an effing toxic stew.
https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...meline-released-inaugural-season-newest-clubs Austin FC, which was announced back in January 2019 and made significant progress before the onset of the pandemic, will remain on schedule for a 2021 launch. The other three clubs, all announced in the second half of 2019, will each have their expansion seasons rescheduled by one year. The updated schedule follows below: Austin FC: 2021 inaugural season Charlotte: 2022 inaugural season St. Louis: 2023 inaugural season Sacramento: 2023 inaugural season
In the Turkish Superlig, Istanbul Basaksehir wins the title for the first time, and becomes the sixth ever team to do so in Turkey, the other five being Galatasaray (22), Fenerbahce (19), Besiktas (15), Trabzonspor (6) and Bursaspor (1)
So today in Serie A, Napoli beat Sassuolo 2-0, but the real news is that Sassuolo had 4 goals called off by VAR (all for offside, all correctly called off). I am trying to imagine Napoli's coach Gattuso if VAR did not exist and Napoli had lost the game 2-4 with four irregular goals.
I saw Lucho's first goal with Atlas in the Liga MX (Atlas lost 3-1), an OK goal but I guess a good ice breaker.
Toronto, New England, Montreal- all gone And we’ve gone 4 or 5 goals a game to mostly 1-0. Players are wilting.
