I'm honestly optimistic about this buy young, relatively experienced, S. American/Eastern European strategy. It's working for Atlanta. When you suck, its important to find someone who doesnt suck and copy what they do. In time you can look at improving on their strategy if you are successful. It took me years, maybe decades to learn this.
Well, with Cincinnati now looking for a new manager with 12 days until the start of the season (separation for a good cause), the Fire look very thoughtful and measured in their hiring process.
And with the WGN deal, I feel even better about the future (4-5 years down the line), not the win/losses, but the survival of the club. Hopefully we can get back to our old logo.
Today's been a good day so far. Let's not play a game today so that we don't have anything to bring it down.
Aliseda officially signed. I swear, if the actual team is 3/4 as good as the social media team it should be...if anything.... interesting.
Two more signings incoming.. one announced sooner than the other. Expect two more signings after that but no deals have been “closed” yet
Is this what we're looking at right now? -----------------------Kronholm Sekulic-----Kappelhof----------Calvo-----Bornstein ----------------------Gimenez Frankowski-------Mihailovic-----------Aliseda -----------------------Beric
Please because so far I see a lot of un or less the proven great potentials that I hope works out. Give me just one I will be sure of.
If you don't buy aging stars, then unproven young guys is what you'll get, which personally, I'm ok with.
That I don’t know. The two they have “locked up” have been linked to the club though. I expect one announced this week but can’t promise it. Aliseda was suppose to be yesterday and this guy today so we’ll see if he happens tomorrow or not.
I'm optimistic that the losing we do this year will be much more fun than the losing we've done the last decade. At least there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
